I’d hoped to feel this cold easing up today, but no such luck.  I guess two days of cold misery before relief is more the norm, anyway.

Friday morning greetings!  Mary Linda and I spent a delightful 7 hours with J-dub, who is a very energetic toddler.  He enjoyed playing with some Matchbox cars and Slinkeys left over from Rob's childhood.  He talks quite a bit, but we didn't have access to the J Dictionary.  He got very frustrated when Mary Linda didn't understand what he was trying to tell her about water.  We watched quite a bit of PBS Kids and he finally fell asleep during Sesame Street.

I crashed right after his Mom picked him up.

Aww.  I am sure you appreciated having Mary Linda there to help chase him around ;D

I can't sleep.  It's too bright in the apartment, and Annabelle is manic this morning.  She's brought down a shelf of books between rounds of snooping whenever I open a drawer or door to a cupboard or tearing through the apartment to get to the window to watch the pigeons and sparrows on the fire escape. She has no sympathy.

And to continue my neuroses, I asked to cancel the adoption of Sir Rivington and now I wish I hadn't.  Oy!

He was really her responsibility and she did all the heavy lifting.  I don't think I could handle him by myself.

DR Chas, has your throat pain eased up?

That goes away during the day, then it’s sore again in the morning which I’m told is due to post nasal drip.  Right now it’s fine.

Good idea about the posters, but Richard won't be up for signing that much stuff.

That is good.  I was concerned it was more serious.

Not that I feel it is "my" town, just this side of it.

Elmore, I think Annabelle is plenty for one apartment. She sounds like a handful.

I like having just one cat in the house. I just wish it was Joshie.

I think you're right, DR Laura, but little Sir Rivington was such a cutie!  I'm still wishing I hadn't canceled the adoption process.

DR Laura, Annabelle is not crazy about Da Bird, but she loves this fishie on a pole.  We played it all afternoon while she wasn't stalking pigeons and sparrows.
