That looks like cat fun, Elmore. Joshie LOVED the da bird, and he'd have loved the fishie on a pole, too. He was especially fond of shoelaces.

The other night she actually played with one of her catnip mice, but for the most part only the fishie seems to keep her attention.

I think tomorrow and Sunday I will attend a couple of cat adoptions on the Upper West Side, just to look and see what kittens are available. These Trap-Neuter-Release groups have lots of kittens that will be ready by early December and if I cannot find an orange kitty as cute as Archie, tuxedos like Taylor or Picasso are awfully adorable.

Now that I'm back on Facebook, I learned today of a friend's death. I met Michael when I was working at Theatre Books, 1981-1983, and we became good friends. I think I attended a preview of On Your Toes with him. When he left New York, I honestly never thought I'd see him again. I recently reconnected with him on Facebook, but his sudden death this week, after returning from a trip to London, really knocked me over.

Wedding rehearsal was chilly, but everyone listened....some people were arriving late, so I started on time with those who were there, and then folded in folks as they arrived....

The only misstep were the two little girls who each carry a sign down the aisle.....and they switched them out so that it read "The Bride" "Here Comes."

I was amused......

I am worn out from a hectic--and HOT-- week. But the temps are cooling down and I've managed to take care of a number of things that needed taking care of. Not completely done yet, but getting manageable.

DR Laura, I'm pleased that your gums have healed so well. You posted as if it was no big deal at the time, but I think that I, and others, would have felt quite daunted.
