Well, you've read the notes, the notes were boxed, and now it is time for you to post until the boxed cows come home.

Thank goodness it isn't Boxing Day.  I haven't even started my Christmas shopping.

Congrats on the successful (if small audienced) Robert Yacko show!

Boxing Day in Canada growing up meant the annual Sam The Record Man sale.

Memories.

Looks like the big storm they forecast for our area wasn't quite as bad as expected!

T.O.D.

I chucked a lot of stuff (mostly books) when we moved from Los Angeles to Austin.  Now, I regret it.

Did anybody watch RAY DONOVAN last night?

SPOILER AHEAD

I can only assume that they'd planned that to be the final episode of the series, and shot it before they were renewed.

So, next season, we will learn that that final scene was a dream sequence.

Around 9:30 I will leave for this morning's orchestra reading of Brigadoon.  I look forward to seeing Rob, Joshie, and the Encores! orchestra players.

DR JohnG, the Maguire Sisters were from Middletown.  One of them - Phyllis, I think - dated my Uncle Paul when they were in high school.

When I was growing up, the Maguire Sisters were the Big Celebrities.  When Phyllis' involvement with the mafia was made public, they were no longer mentioned as role models.

There are many days where I look at the accumulated fragments of my life and think, wish I had the money I spent.

TOD:

Yes, I have thought about it many times.....and have done a few mini purges from time to time....mostly clothes.

The problem is....and it always happens....if I have kept something for many years without using or wearing it....if I get rid of it....within a month, I need it......for one reason or another.....

Being active in local theatre means that sooner or later - someone needs EVERYTHING for a show or an audition.....or you need a picture in a book - although the inter webs can solve that SOMETIMES.....

It's another wet day here, so I doubt Annabelle will have any bird watching today.  She's making up for that by running madly around the apartmetn and, best of all, she's playing with her toys.  If it has feathers, she'll play with it.

I was wrong.  There are pigeons on the fire escape.  Annabelle is quite enchanted.

Ferociously stormy weather last night, and guess what?

That's right.  A tree fell.

It was one that we'd seen dying just this year and we were planning to have it removed.  Well, now we don't have to do that.  It removed itself.

The only issue being that it removed itself in the direction of the house, and it swiped the gutters.  They're easily replaced, of course, but it's also at a place where there are skylights over the kitchen area, and it had obviously compromised a seal somewhere because there was a little bit of water there this morning.  I have no idea what the extent of the repairs will be, but I'm letting the insurance handle it.

In fact, I'll be calling Mr. Insurance Man.....
