It turns out i am meeting my friend Chris for breakfast - not lunch! - at 9:30, so I will shortly head out.  Then, if Joshie needs my help at City Center, I can head down there.  If not, I'll return hime and work on How To Succeed.

In a burst of inspiration, and to prove to myself I'm NOT SICK (praise the lord), I just ate two eggs (over medium) and five Brown 'n Serve links...with a second cup of coffee.

DR Elmore -- again, to hopefully avoid rush hour -- how would 11:00-11:30 work for me getting down there tomorrow?  Providing you still want to do boxes then, let me know.

I believe I will have something similar at 9:30 today!

I remember the title song of the notes very well.  I was five years and one month old when James Dean died in a car accident.  They kept saying on the radio and television that James Dean was dead....the only Jimmy Dean I knew was the country singer....so I couldn't figure out how he could still be on TV when he was dead....

Every time the song came on the radio, I would lie on the floor in front of it and listen.....it was an obsession with me.....

I had a couple of teen age aunts and uncles during the 50's so I didn't buy my own records, I played theirs.....

I didn't start buying my own records until I got my OWN record player in August, 1962.....my first two purchases were:

Vacation by Connie Francis and Roses Are Red by Bobby Vinton!

Pick up rehearsal vibes for MR BK & Co.

I just listened to the titular song on YOU TUBE....it has a great percussion opening that I remember like it was YESTERDAY!

The ringworm irony is that I'm not sure either he or Annabelle needs it.  The test to verify the presence of ringworm costs $150 and at the moment, I cannot afford it.  So, they must take the medicine.

I don't recall a test to verify to ringworm, just a cream to put on it which I used on myself at the first sign of it.

;D   It seems you are feeling better, at least until you go out into the world and whatever is bothering your allergies.

TOD:  Not sure if these count for the exact description, but the first 45 I bought on my own was "One Bad Apple" sung by the Osmond Brothers, and the first LP was the movie soundtrack of SOUTH PACIFIC (which was 99 cents at the record store a block from the Midwood movie theater).

I also recall that I was aware of Jimmy Dean long before I'd ever seen James Dean.

Tuesday morning greetings!  I think I'm going to rejoin the human race today.  First up, the noon book group at the library where my career began.  After I have some lunch here at home, Richard and I are going to the grocery - we need everything!

Ugh. Ringworm? Look for it on yourself, also, and use the stuff you put on athlete's foot. Is Thatch taking an oral medication for it or are you using the cream? Did either of them have it at the previous vet visit?

Be sure you tell them when you return the cage. It needs to be disinfected.

There was a small recurrence of ringworm on the kitten, once or twice, and then it never returned.  I only got it the first time.

TOD:
I remember the first rock and roll album I bought was also the first thing I ever bought with my own money, and without asking my mom's permission. I think I was 14 years old. That album was "Sheer Heart Attack" by Queen. I remember the first time I heard the title track on the radio - it was the most unique sound I'd ever heard and I loved the song immediately.
Before that, the first pop album I ever bought was "The Partridge Family Album". I think I was about 9 years old. I had my mom's permission, but for some reason, she wasn't around at the moment. (This was back in the day when kids could wander around by the themselves without fears of kidnapping.) When the cashier clerk rang up the total, I was unprepared for how much tax there would be and I didn't have enough money. The clerk was annoyed, but dug into her pocket and gave me the extra .15 cents. I was very appreciative.

DR Jane, the selection was John McPhee's Encounter with the Archdruid, which I didn't get on interlibrary loan it time for today.  I read his latest, Draft No. 4, instead.  Today's discussion will help me decide to read the Archdruid book or not...

What a lovely story, especially about the (grudgingly) generous clerk!!!

I am home from all errands and a wonderful visit with my friend Chris.  I have Annabelle's Benadryl so we can see if her sneezing is allergy or respiratory infection.  I think the conjunctivitis medication is working for Thatch.  His eye that was closed with gunk yesterday is wide open today.  Annabelle is currently licking Thatch's head, so I think the acclimation is consummated.

I saw that and though "grudgingly" because it probably was not the first time she provided the extra money to help out.
