DR ChasSmith, I'm sorry that you are now ailing. What was the rehearsal like with a sick cast and director?
It’s funny, everything about the rehearsal by all rights should have been a freaking disaster. We were also loading into the “pit”, the drums just barely fit, and they didn’t have a monitor working so we could hear very little. A couple of the cast were singing, quietly, down the octave. But we got through it with but one or two stops for lighting issues, and it wasn’t half bad. We are, without doubt, blessed with the same cast having done the show two years ago. There’s a few new songs and new blocking and more props, but that factor is saving our collective ass right now.
I still feel okay, just can’t talk much. Saving what little voice I have for tonight.
