I am dressed, the babies and birds are fed, and I am on my first cuppa coffee.

T.O.D.

Are THEM! and THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS considered to be "Creature Features"?

If so, they are certainly my favorites.

DR Jeanne, you asked about my coins.  I keep my spare change in pewter mugs - I was given several in Ohio, one for each show I did with the show's name and date engraved on the mug - and I used to take the contents of a mug to a TD Bank branch where there was a coin counter.  I usually got around $20-25 on each visit.

Last year, TD Bank removed the counters from all branches and I let the coins fill to the brim of the mug.  When I was at my bank yesterday, I thought, it's time to wrap, and brought home some coin wrappers.  I didn't have enough nickels t6o wrap one bundle, so I put them with all of my pennies back into the mug, along with around $3.50 on dimes.  I figure there might have been as much as $50 in the mug altogether, but $45 will keep me - with the money I have in the bank at the moment - until the Social Security arrives next week.

To all my Jewish friends on HHW, my wishes for a wonderful holiday!  I wrote this arrangement for a Milken Archive recording of Hanukka music:
https://soundcloud.com/user5614139/likhtelekh

Here is a translation of the text, since the number is recorded in Yiddish:
Oh, you little candles
You tell stories
Tales on end;
You tell of struggle,
Valor and courage, of
A wondrous past.

When I see you flickering,
A sparkling reverie arises.
An old dream speaks:
“Jew, you warred once;
Jew, you were once victorious.”
God! It seems unbelievable now!...
God! I can hardly believe it!...

“You had a state,
To me you were a nation,
Once you governed:
Once you had a country,
Once you had power!”
Oh, how deep the ache now!

Oh, you little lights!
Your stories
Awaken my pain;
It stirs something deep within my heart,
And with tears it asks:
“What will be now?...

As I caught up to them I said to her, what beautiful shoes...are you going to visit someone special?

She nodded her hard so hard I thought it would fall off and the told me "SANTA!"

I looked amazed and asked you mean Santa is here?

Yep and I (really huge emphasis on I) am going to see him!!  She was very proud

I found Thatch's ping pong ball under the bed while I was making it.  I don't know which is bouncing around more at the moment, the ball or him.

Like vixmom, I visited my local mall and Apple Store last night.  I'd discovered over the weekend that my contacts weren't synched up between my iPhone and everything else.  I use Gmail for mail and contacts, and everything had always been fine between the Windows laptop and the iPad.  But the phone, which is still "new" to me, had been set up a little differently by the Verizon store, and while I'd "assumed" (we all know what that means) that everything was okay.....it wasn't.  So a kindly Apple employee spent five minutes with me without an appointment (he did make rather a big deal out of mentioning that) and showed me what to do to keep everything in sync.

Now wasn't that an exciting story?

If you liked that one, I can probably come up with more, so keep that feedback coming!
