Thank you, all. I’m not yet focused enough to mention each of you by name but I do appreciate them.

THE APARTMENT, in this restoration, and nicely projected, is a revelation.  There's not much else to say.

Afterward, we popped in the old disc to compare a couple of scenes.  The difference was shocking.  None of us expected it to be a case of "night and day", but that's what it was.

Next time:  ONE, TWO, THREE.  It won't be the same kind of revelation because it hasn't had the restoration.  But we watched the first couple of minutes of it before breaking up tonight, and the movie itself was just mouth-watering.  Seeing this one, projected, literally brings back the very memorable night I saw it, at twelve years of age, in its first week of release.

She was also quite proud of herself for having driven back and forth over the soft snow  several times to squish it down and make it easier for me to ciear

Jane, she would have been a Klein in school.  From the looks of the paper, this would have either been in eleventh or twelfth grade, I think.  Who knows who I gave that song, too.  I do have a memory of a Barbara - I looked on Facebook, too and found one Barbra Klein who lists Beverly Park as somewhere she likes, so that puts her in the right neighborhood, certainly.  But who knows if this girl is still Klein, she could have been long married by now.  And I'm not sure the "Babs" isn't just me.

If she contacted you on Facebook can't you link to her page?

I've been watching A PLACE TO CALL HOME. Season 5 started rather slowly, but it's now up to what we have come to expect from this show.

Good to hear.  We only watched the first episode and I slept through some of it, which I expected to happen due to my jet lag.

But I didn't rewatch any of the original run to remind myself of what happened.

It's not the first time that I've dropped a show because I lost interest.

Did that first episode make any sense to you?  It all seemed to be much ado abut nothing.

I tried hard to like it, but it was really stupid.  At least the second episode was a little bit better.
