Good morning and happy vibes to everyone!  Book writing vibes to our dear BK.

The meds seem to be working. The swelling has gone way down in my hands and I am not longer itchy in the other places.  The bumps are gone from my scalp.  Still coughing a bit but it’s not as heavy as it was.  I was going into coughing fits where I couldn’t seem to stop but I’m not doing that now.  I guess the antibiotic I took helped with that even though I had the reaction to it.  I go to the doctor today at 2 to see where I’m at.

I imagine he will just say to finish the allergy pills and rest.  I still have 4 days worth including today.  It’s the type where you take 6 the first day, 5 the next, 4 and so on.  I’m down to 4 for today.

I just hope I’m well by the time Mark gets here.  I don’t want to be sick when we meet but I’m hopeful.

OMG I am just reading your post from yesterday. Sounds like you have a lot of news!  Did the doctor say what happened with the original meds?  Is that type of reaction common? I have never heard of anything like that happening. That is crazy and scary!

Years ago my father had an infection that could kill him and was in the hospital.  He had a severe reaction to the antibiotic.  Since it was too risky to stop the antibiotic they simply treated the reaction.

I will leave here around 8:30 and head to Carroll Studios.  I am looking forward to today's orchestra reading.  We'll hear numbers from Wildcat, Subways Are for sleeping, Milk and Honey, Sail Away, Greenwillow, All American, and God knows what else.

Hope it went well!

Just finished watching My Next Guest, David Letterman’s new show on Netflix, with Obama as the sole guest for an hour. Two people speaking in complete sentences with polysyllabic words and well-developed thoughts — no wonder it’s not on regular TV.

Mudbound is also apparently streaming on Netflix. May watch that one later.

Everything is a day late here because of the winter storm earlier this week. They’re just now picking up trash that was to have been picked up yesterday. It’s confusing as I try to keep track of time v

My Fitbit and zucchini diet is back on track now. I have recovered from both the holidays and a couple of pesky viruses.

This is my second morning not exercising.  I miss it.  I am getting caught up on work and cleaning.  I spent the morning filling out forms on the computer for upcoming doctors visits.

Hi all.  I went to the dr today.  I have good and bad news.  I don’t have as much fluid in my lungs as before but I still have some.  That is the bronchitis not the flu.  He said he would be afraid to put me in the hospital at this point because I am doing better but also because he is afraid that with my lungs being weak I could pick up the flu to easy.  The hospitals are full of people with it right now and I may not be able to fight it.

He wants me on bed rest and to drink lots of fluid.  They can’t give me anything else until I finish the meds for the reaction I had.  I have to be very careful about who I am around and if I show signs of flu, fever or start the hard coughing again I wil need to go to the ER.  Right now, I’m doing pretty good and hopefully, if I continue with the rest, I will be over this by next week.  Here’s hoping.

Neither of us is sure why I had the reaction I did.  Turns out they showed in my records that I’ve had that med before with no problem.  Who knows?

Glad you don’t have to go to the hospital, Danise. Definitely a germ palace to be avoided.

Depends on how the Fitbit is prepared.

Back from a nice lunch with BK. I must say that John O'Groats has very good quality control. My fish and chips was as good as always. Bruce ordered a short stack of pancakes so we could both finally try them. They were quite good. One day I'll try their granola pancakes.

Mega health vibes to DR Danise.

I agree with John G about avoiding the hospital. But it sounds like you're recovering well on your own, anyway. Hope that continues.

Thanks for the good vibes and thoughts.  The weather is going back up this weekend too so that should help.  I still can’t believe we had black ice here and it was 29 degrees with a wind chill of 11.

I think that is part of the problem.  If it would get cold and stay cold my body could adjust but to be up in the 70’s one day and down in the 20’s the next just sets you up to get sick.
