The elevator crew is very noisy today.  They've been working nine days straight now.  Perhaps they will finish before Feb. 28?

Tuesday morning greetings!  I have a few errands to do today and then I'd like to actually create something at my new craft table.

Yesterday my sister-in-law Jayne broke her leg and this afternoon will have surgery to insert a plate and pins.  Vibes would be appreciated.

DR FJL, Richard and I have started talking seriously about a fly/drive vacation in the Pacific Northwest and would like to include seeing The Last Starfighter in Redmond, WA.  Do you know if/when you'll be there?

I agree.  There are several films I love that I find hard to watch; off the bat, I can think of these:
The Virgin Spring
The Blair Witch Project
Au Revoir Les Enfants
Psycho
The Vanishing
(original Dutch film)

Started a movie about Balzac that’s three hours long. Gerard Depardieu and Jeanne Moreau. It’s dubbed. It’s so hard for me to watch dubbed movies, I don’t know if I can finish it.

Hi Ginny.  We're not part of the rehearsal process, and so quite rightly would be paying our own way.  So I won't know until after tax season whether we'll even be able to afford the trip.  :(

The producer of my play told me that yesterday at the church he attends the Reverend mentioned my play in his sermon.

Nice!

Futzed and finessed and wrote four new pages.  I'm about to begin the final sequence of the book, after I eat something.

My sister Linda informs me that Mom is having Dad taken to the hospital. The message isn’t entirely clear but being housebound this winter has taken its toll on him.

I am sorry.  It must be hard on you to hear this and know you can't go there if needed.

This morning we had our 6 month, yes it is every 6 months now, cancer check at the dermatologist.  I went in first and came out last since I had 2 biopsies done and Keith didn't need any.  I really thought I was going to get away this time without a biopsy, and with fewer things sprayed off of me.

Those So. California early years spent swimming and playing sports did a lot of damage.

Of all the Oscar nominees, James Ivory is the most worthy. Glad to see him among the nominees for all the years of joy he has given me at the movie theater. I remember hours and hours lost to A Room with a View, The Europeans, Maurice, Heat and Dust, Jane Austen in Manhattan, Slaves of New York, The Bostonians, Howard’s End and so many more.

Thank you to DRs George, Jane, and John G for the vibes for Jayne.  She's about halfway through her surgery - her daughter Lauren is keeping me informed by text message.
