I took another shower just after I finished the notes at about 11:45 and I realized what I was missing from the ending - a certain emotional thing that I'd originally written but not about the right thing.  I thought of some good lines and a way to do it, and as soon as I finished the shower, I rewrote the dialogue and it's now much better - it was way too short and facile and I knew it wasn't hitting me in the gut like it had to.  But as I rewrote it, it suddenly did and so I think it's right now and I'll probably smooth it out further in the morning and maybe even add a bit to it.

Thatch climbed into bed with me around 3:30.  I got little sleep between then and 7:00.  He's like a hyper-active child, settling down for a few minutes, then jumping off the bed to return five minutes later, lie down, find a new sleeping position, find another, jump off the bed, return five minutes later, lie down, find a new sleeping position, find another, jump off the bed . . .

Annabelle joined us around 6:00.  She likes to lie on top of the blankets on my feet, and once she's settled, only a miracle will move her.  This inhibits my changing sleeping positions, so I am rather tired this morning.

This has a lot of potential for the start of a romantic novella if you don't know Thatch is a cat.

I am waiting to hear from Joshie about coming into City Center.  He's been having computer problems, so I may end up staying here.

I love this story!  A New South Wales Animal Shelter had a shy rather unsocial cat, Champas, for 400 days without being adopted, so they started a campaign to find him a home.  They also made him their official receptionist so that he could meet new people every day.  The campaign worked, and Champas become the owner of a young man named Nathan.

I've pretty much decided on who the subject of my next play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection will be.

It's another actress; also somebody that I knew.

After that, I'll probably do an actor who I knew.

But, I'll never tell.

Back into Finale today, learning how to bust through another couple of walls so I can put the finishing touches on these two songs and move on to another.

I've been doing this all on computer up to now, which is slow going but it helped with the learning curve.  Today I'm moving into entering notes from a MIDI keyboard.

The drum part will have to wait.  I'll have to consult with our drummer (who's just picky enough about notation for it to be valuable) to get my bearings there.
