Speaking of Henny Youngman jokes:  (or was this Morey Amsterdam?)

CASTING DIRECTOR:  The invisible man is here for his audition.

DIRECTOR:  Tell him we can't see him.

The kitties got larger, whisker-friendly dishes today, so we have a second Amazon box as large as the one Annabelle was sleeping in.  Thatch has taken it over and seems very happy there.

Loved Lady Bird. The performers are the best part of the movie. Tracy Letts, in this and The Lovers, gave two of the best performances I saw from movies this past year.

Some good Sondheim, too.

Great kitty photos recently, Elmore. Me want more.

The official court photographer is our DR ChasSmith, whose portraits of Miss Annabelle have won her approval.  We must schedule a visit soon.

That would be nice.  Maybe he can take a photo with your phone and see if the blurry look is due to your phone.  If not he might be able to give you tips, such as tapping on your phone to focus it.  Keith gets frustrated with me as too many of my photos are a bit out of focus.  I do better with his new phone which has a much better camera.

Have I missed discussion here of the controversy about plot points of THE SHAPE OF WATER seeming to be very close to the play LET ME HEAR YOU WHISPER by Paul Zindel?

Does Bk have a take on this, or anyone else have any thoughts?

Of course, Mr. Zindel is well known for plays like   ...MARIGOLDS.  And for his screenplay for MAME, but we won't hold that against him, I think.

Wrong, Fred. Hold it against him. Hold it against everyone involved when it comes to Mame. Put the blame on Mame, boys.

Post deleted.  Apparently, the actor playing Young Patrick left show biz soon after.

The score in the movie musical of LUCY/MAME did have occasional similarities to the score in the stage musical MAME, though.  But it could have been coincidence.

Bk - thanks, got your email with the tracking number.

When did tracking numbers get so long?  By the time I enter all those digits, the package might be here.

I drove from Lumberton to the SC. Georgia border then we stopped for gas and traded spots and Vixdad is driving

I only drive if Keith is very sick or just had surgery.  This is a very rare occasion.

I like driving, plus we take my van on long trips

Anyone know the British composer John Rutter.  I heard a piece of his for harp and orchestra on the radio and really liked it.  I gather he's mostly a choral guy but I'm listening now to his orchestral work and it's just lovely.

Waiting for Muse Margaret to call.  They discovered their phone has been off the hook all day - I'd tried to call several times.  Just have to run a couple of things by her, including one more tiny deletion for the same reason I made the other deletions.

Okay, and Robert Preston was good.
