Monday morning greetings!  I did make it to the grocery yesterday and bought everything I needed to make lasagna.  Made 2 small pans instead of the usual 9"x13" and took the disposable one to sister-in-law Jayne, who's staying at her sister Judy's no-steps condo.  We had a nice visit and heard all about Jayne's broken leg and the 13-week recovery period she's been told to expect.

The three titles that had been approved for Kritzerland have been unapproved because apparently they've reverted elsewhere in the past year.  But they instantly approved two other titles so that's good.

Can you tell us what we’re going to miss out on?

TOD

From musicals, the first two that come to mind:

Make Our Garden Grow from Candide
Behold the Hills of Tomorrow from Merrily We Roll Along

In college, I was in a conducting class and we could bring in music that we wanted to conduct.  I had purchased the published choral arrangement of "The Hills of Tomorrow" and brought it in.  I didn't realize it until I purchased that music that there was more to the song than just what was on the original Broadway cast recording.  It has a whole other section that made it a complete song.  Here's the complete song, just by another arranger:

The sun is bright today. Feels nice. But I’m sneezing at everything and the pills aren’t working yet.

It's raining in Tumwater.

Proofed thirty pages of part two, and also finished entering all the fixes for as far as I got in part one with Muse Margaret.  I'll finish that tonight after we converse.

Topic of the Day:

Carmina Burana

Not one piece of music, but the CD Geistliche Chorwerke (Carus Classics) (the original 1991 release was called "Sacred Choral Works of Domenico Scarlatti") has nine different choral pieces.  This was recorded by the Western Washington University Concert Choir when I was going there and was in the concert choir and I'm on this CD! :D

I will admit that it's probably more of recording for scholars than just listening for pleasure, but it does have its aural enjoyments.
