And just received from the Interlibrary Loan department, the vocal score to The Crucible: An Opera in Four Acts based on the play by Arthur Miller, with Libretto by Bernard Stambler and Music by Robert Ward (and German translation by Thomas Martin).  It's been bound, so I can't see the original cover, but THIS is the edition:

When I can, I like listening to recordings and following along with the scores. :)

I wonder how much of the score wasn't recorded, or if it was the entire show.

If anyone's interested, THIS must be the original edition:

The sun is bright today. Feels nice. But I’m sneezing at everything and the pills aren’t working yet.

It's raining in Tumwater.

It is raining here.

A few times I almost gave away my nice long, out of style, raincoat from when we lived in Michigan since I wasn't wearing it anymore.  I am very glad I kept it and have been wearing it again.

I don't think that I've ever owned an actual raincoat.  I've had coats that were water resistant, but nothing specifically called a "raincoat." :-\

And if I haven't needed one by now, I guess I don't really need one, at all.

Proofed, ran whatever I found by Muse Margaret and read her some changes I made, which she liked, and I'm almost caught up on entering all these little changes into the Word doc.  Break time now, then I'll finish entering and be caught up, then I'll proof some more and maybe finish proofing tomorrow.

Watching a Cuban film called Strawberry & Chocolate. I saw this years ago and remember nothing about it except that I really enjoyed it.

This is the only truly nice one I have ever had.  I needed nicer clothes when we lived in Michigan.  The long coat keeps my legs warm and dry.

;D

What I wear to walk in is different.  I really need to keep dry when I walk in the pouring rain.  It isn't long though, but longer than most of my other jackets.

I got it in a medium instead of my usual small so I can fit lots of layers underneath and stay warm.  Keith says I look like a big blueberry.

It really keeps me dry.

The colors are great, Jane. And if you look like a giant blueberry, then just change your name to Violet Beauregard.

I just finished a wonderful unabridged recording of Around the World in 80 Days read by Jim Dale. I first read the book back when I was in fifth grade. And then read it again five or six times. Hearing it after all these years was a surprise. There's very little by way of character development (less than in a Zane Grey oater), but it doesn't really matter. It moves along like the great adventure story that it is. And the ending, even though you know it's coming, still works.
