The word is that Dad will be able to go home after he heals and if there is home health care.

This is great.  Do they have any idea how long that will be?  I am hoping the sores were caught early.  I knew people in the nursing home that couldn't get rid of them and I volunteered there for a very long time :(

No idea. The doctor is more concerned about bruises from his having fallen. Apparently the sores are healing quickly.

I am home from the afternoon rehearsal, and I suspect tonight's dress rehearsal will run even better/  I had a great time and I am curious to see how it goes over.  There are some wonderful performances, beginning with Carolee Carmello and Wildcat and ending with Bebe Neuwirth's two numbers from Sail Away.  There's a nice unannounced guest star appearance at the very end.

I hope it's a huge success; there was so much negativity when the season was announced.

I’ve gotten knee deep in a few books lately, including Balzac’s Cousin Bette. Was there ever such a cast of characters so relentlessly ugly? They’re worse than characters in an Agatha Christie mystery. And I’m loving every word.

If you've never seen the Margaret Tyzack-BBC production, rent it.  It's very well cast.

I loved it.

I am home from the dentist. He had the same problem with this root canal as he did with the first one--trouble finding the canals. As I was leaving he told me I have a "complicated mouth." ALL my health issues are complicated; I simply don't get ordinary, garden-variety ailments.

He likes having me as a patient because I'm so "nice and relaxed." RELAXED? Doesn't he see how tense I am? If I'm relaxed I'd hate to see his other patients.

I stopped at the little bakery down the street. It's rather mediocre, but I bought a couple of their mini pies just the same. I feel I earned them.

Speaking of dogs (post #98), I recently watched PAUL O'GRADY AND THE LOVE OF DOGS, a sort of reality show about the Battersea Dogs' Home.. I quite enjoyed it, but was disappointed that there was only one season. Available on Britbox.

I woke up at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep. Not unusual for me before any sort of procedure. I need a nap. I shall curl up with a book instead, I think.

I missed the part where he fell  :-\

I am glad the sores are healing.  I have seen some really nasty ones.

I thought I was bad.  I'm sorry he had the same problem and hope he handled it well.

Vibes you do not have the same level of pain you had after the last one!
