He likes having me as a patient because I'm so "nice and relaxed." RELAXED? Doesn't he see how tense I am? If I'm relaxed I'd hate to see his other patients.

I stopped at the little bakery down the street. It's rather mediocre, but I bought a couple of their mini pies just the same. I feel I earned them.

You did earn them.  Are they easy to eat?

I made just a few more tiny adjustments to the final scene in the book - not changing the feel or what I did yesterday, but just making it smoother, I hope.  Will read to Muse Margaret whenever she gets home.

Also looking at potential book covers - one of them is interesting to me, and another we're still trying to get to the point where I might find it interesting.

Blair Tindall is the ex wife of Bill Nye the science guy who wrote about all the sex and drugs in the classical music world.....I think.

And she wrote Mozart in the Jungle.

Listen to me very carefully.  As you know the sheep of Facebook have been doing this copy and paste so that the same twenty-six people don't keep showing up on the feed.  This has been going on for days and I called BS the minute I saw it - but that doesn't stop everyone from being a sheep on Facebook.  So, let me straighten it out for you and you can thank me later: If you see a post that says "copy and paste" it is FAKE.  BOGUS.  A HOAX.  NOT REAL.  There is no discussion on this point, period, the end.  This has been going on for years, only the content changes.  But NOW it's even worse because some sickening moron posted that Snopes said it's real and now the copy and pasting of it has quadrupled with everyone saying "Snopes says it's real."  But not one person who is saying that has actually BEEN to Snopes.  What is wrong with people on Facebook that it turns them into complete dopes?  Seriously, I need someone to tell me because I don't get it.

So, here for the non-believers is what I've been saying since the first time someone copy and pasted:  https://www.snopes.com/new-facebook-algorithm-26-friends/

My question to my friend was "did you see it on snopes".  I couldn't find anything.

At least this one does have some truth in it, still we can't change the way fb works.

When I do link Snopes to what people post they often respond that they weren't sure, better to be safe than sorry.

It has no truth in it at all.  They changed their algorithm but it has not a thing to do with what people are copy and pasting about seeing only certain friends' posts.  It has to do with business ads and seeing less of them.  I posted the Snopes article.  Read it.

Even more annoying is to share false group messages through Messenger.  Every time a person in the group responds how horrible the false message is, each person in the group receives another message.  It continues even after I respond it is a hoax.

On my computer it isn't too bad and there is a way to opt out of the group.  From my phone or tablet I can't see to do that.  It is truly annoying & embarrassing if my phone beeps in public, unsafe if I am driving.  On my tablet it pops up that I have a message while I am trying to read at night  >:(

Truth in that They changed their algorithm, but nothing that darn copy and paste story will make a difference.

At least you found the Snopes article, I couldn't.  Why didn't you put it on Jose's post ;)

Can't you turn off the volume on your phone and only have it vibrate?  Are those options on your phone?

I just realized something....at the end of Jose's post he added "No sharing of a fake "new algorithm" post/meme needed." He should have begun with that ;D

I really was surprised he would share fake stuff.

Actually it is Keith's phone that beeps messages but he keeps it on for important ones.  Messages, to me, are for private conversations, not junk.  It is why I haven't completely turned off the message notification on my tablet.  I do keep the sound off on it as not to disturb Keith at night.  I turned off all other, or everything else I could figure out how to turn off, on my tablet.  It had become rather busy across the top of my screen when I was reading.

Really embarrassing, and has forced me to turn off my phone, are the group text messages.  My friend sends out photos or something to all his close family & friends.  He has gotten better which means he is doing it less or has remembered I complain about them.

Ten people responding and my phone making a noise every time.

OK, end of rants.

Oh, I forgot to mention the vibrate on my phone is pathetic, barely noticeable.

Maybe you could get a smart watch and pair it with your phone or tablet.  I have one and every time I get a notice (FB, text, etc.), it goes to my watch, which I feel very easily.  I can have the sound and vibrations completely turned off on my phone and the watch will still (silently) vibrate on my wrist, and display what kind of message I get and display the first couple of lines.  Very convenient...at least, for me. :)

No way am I wearing one of those big clunky things-lol.  They really are all big on me and I can't see them anyway.  My phone is good in that I don't miss phone calls since they ring in my hearing aids and I need that to continue.

Are you receiving junk messages?

Fortunately, I rarely receive spam phone calls.  I just don't answer those.  I don't think I've ever gotten any kind of junk message text.  I don't have my phone set up to get my e-mails, so I don't get notices for those.

You are in good shape and will never know how annoying this is, lucky you :)

I gather then that you don't receive private messages through messenger.  That is where I receive the junk.  Text messages are annoying when they are sent as a group and every response automatically reply's to all.

I do get private messages, but they're only from people I know, so that's not a problem.  And I'm not on social media very much (except for HHW ;) ), so I don't have a lot of friends posting to me.

And now, I'm off.  My friend Margo called, asking if I wanted to go out to dinner with her and her friend Marsha.  Of course, I said yes!  We're going to Applebee's.  If the sale is still going on, all of their burgers are only $7.99!

Be back later.

VIBES for DR GINNY

Thanks, DR JRand, but I’m fine.  Had a nice day with my DAR friends and Richard and I are enjoying our Tuesday evening programs, waiting for the snowstorm.

Vibes for DR Ginny's sister.

Thanks, DR Jeanne, but as of Sunday she was fine.  My sister-in-law, however, is recovering from a broken leg and, irony of ironies, now has walking pneumonia.
