Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fixed, and now it is time for the fixed cows to come home.

Topic of the Day:  the first one that I can think of is Bette Midler's final appearance with Johnny Carson.

Topic of the Day:  the first one that I can think of is Bette Midler's final appearance with Johnny Carson.

It’s at the top of my list, along with Mike Douglas interviewing Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera when they were doing Chicago.

I semi to remember musical performances more than interviews, such as the cast of Bubbling Brown Sugar, again on Mike Douglas.

I have a pinched nerve in my lower back, and I am going back to bed to lie on a heating pad.

TOD:

Many interviews on the Jack Paar Show which was on at 10 p.m. on Friday evenings - after he had left The Tonight Show.

Including:

Oscar Levant who quoted his first professional review:  "In his debut last night, pianist Oscar Levant left his contemporaries and his conductor far behind."

Also interviews with Judy Garland, Dodie Goodman, Nichols & May, and Jonathan Winters....

Yes, I went to ONCE, and it was a wonderful achievement for all concerned.  Some of the music coming off the stage was beautiful to a remarkable degree.  Glad I went.

I have pulled some clothes from the hamper to launder.  There is no way I can take the whole load to the basement using the stairs, but I haven't done laundry since before the elevator installation began, and I need some clean essentials.  I may not get to the laundry today with the pain in my back, but I'm hoping I can manage it tomorrow.

The Encores! special guest star was Joel Gray, who did make yesterday's closing performance.  I'm happy he's feeling better.
