I have a question: do you tip delivery people the same as you tip for table service?

I can't remember that far back.   I think Michigan was the last place where we had food delivered.  That is 3 homes back and 22 years.

Of course if the order is completely wrong and they cop an attitude rather than apologizing and fixing it i have an isdye

What about when the not-too-swift server gives your meal to another customer? And you see it happen and can't really do anything about it? Then you have to wait while they prepare your order AGAIN. The manager came over and apologized, but with less-than-heartfelt words and a very meager offer. This was a couple months ago and I'm still annoyed. I haven't been back and it was one of my favorite restaurants.

I really don't think that some people realize how their flip attitudes can ruin a business. They CAN.

I dont...but I usually tip 30% for good table service, 20% for adequate...less for poor...

Same here for table service, more for places we regularly eat at.

I dint hold it afainst the server if the food  isnt cooked to order or the order takes a long time coming *but is still hot ..
If its obviously been sitting around while she took a break then I have an issue

You do know that it might be hot because the wait person forgot to put the order in ;)

I like when the server is honest about their mistake and apologizes.

And what about a massage therapist? Some of them fall into the medical category and I always thought tipping wasn't appropriate. For generic, especially discount, massage, I tip, of course.

For hairdressers, the tipping guidelines have said that you don't need to tip the owner of the salon. But I always found that kind of silly. For one, you don't always know who the owner is. So I tip, period. NO ONE's ever declined my tips.

I agree about the owner and after expenses they sometimes make less.

How much to tip is the question.  I tip $5-$10, more at Christmas with the amount depending how long I have been going to the person.

I have to say if that waitress thought she should get $75  for bringing that order to the curb i think she is out of her mind...especially since it was supposed to be a delivered order!  Honestly if it was I picking it up I would have thrown her a $20 ..

$75 seemed a bit shocking.

That is annoying, especially if you are a regular there.

Speaking of restaurants, I think it's time for a little dinner.

Yesterday 3 of us ordered the healthy vegetable rice bowl.  We have all had it there before but this time is was lacking in flavor.  I thought it was just me or I would have asked for some teriyaki sauce or something.

I had half of my meal leftover of a not so big bowl.  The waiter asked if I was done and was going to take it when my friend asked for a box.  Half eaten and I was not asked if it was ok, or if I wanted to take it home.

I added extra food, and seasoning to my leftovers for dinner tonight.  An improvement but still not exciting.

And on that note (pick a note...any sad note), I'm leaving work and going home.

Until later.

Can I ask where you ordered it from? Amazon says it doesn’t have it v

In my post, the words "Hello Again" are a link to the Amazon listing, which is where I bought it.  Or, you can click here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079MNBW7D/

Duh. It's been that kind of a day. But when I searched on amazon, it told me it wasn't available.

Ir's amazing how many nice comments the Encores! production is getting on FB today from outraged musical theatre queens who swore last May, when the season was announced, that they were canceling their Encores! subscriptions over the revue.

Everyone but the NYT and a couple of other critics seems to have loved it.

Watching The Battle of the Sexes. Good performances, but I really don't like the movie. It's a little too coy. .

The ending of the movie was better than the beginning with Howard Cosell’s sexist, stentorian drivel lifted from the original broadcast. That blending of fact with the actors really worked well.

All fixes have been entered and the book has been sent to Grant, who I'm hoping will just get it done.

That video was too sad.....

I didn't watch.  I have seen the same story, or several like it :(

When our little cat Bacall was dying of cancer the other cats were very attentive to her.  Her brother and our other male cat took turns lying next to her.
