DR TCB, your Lauren Bacall story was the first nice thing I've heard about her in 30+ years.  I was happy to read it.

Band rehearsal last night was great fun.  It's the full complement of the Beaumont version, and frankly I'd be just as happy to play the run which is just through next week.  But I think the gal I was subbing for (my partner in piano crime for I Do! I Do!) is going to be back in fine fettle.  She actually had a nasty little touch of the flu requiring a visit to the ER due to a high fever, but she's doing well.

The rest of us old farts like your stories, too, Fred.

It's only four days now,and I've already caught myself embellishing the story of the joyous photo of vixmom and BD Wong.  By the time I'm 70, I suspect I'll be telling the younger generation that Skip actually took the photo.  By the time I'm 95, when no one will likely recall that I was ill that night and missed the concert, I'll probably claim to have taken the photo myself.

braving the long flight of stairs to and from the darkroom - upstairs, both ways.

T.O.D.

Free HBO & Cinemax this weekend, so we will be recording a few things.

Already, we've recorded WONDER WOMAN.  Not really my cup of tea, but I'm told that it's quite good.

Last night, I started writing on my next one-woman play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS series.

As with the last 2-3, this one also involves somebody that I knew.

Friday morning greetings!  Richard and I were going to take lunch to our sister-in-law Jayne and her sister today, but I woke up sneezy and sniffly and they don't need me around.

The Men's Shorts were most disappointing for USA fans last night....at least for this fan.....

And Nathan Chen had no answer as to why he is 18th.....the commentator offered "nerves" or "new location or training regime" or a couple of other things....and to each he said...."No.....uh.....no...."

NBC coverage was pretty skimpy in prime time...

Annabelle and I took two morning strolls today.  On the first we saw our neighbor Mark, who's a jazz pianist .  We had a nice visir with him.  The second stroll was into a hall echoing with elevator crew sounds.  She seemed disoriented and very relieved to get back to Thatch and a safe apartment.

I keep falling asleep, if I am not actively doing something... I need to get my thyroid levels checked I think

The cost of my Synthroid has become very pricey but I am afraid to switch brands and mess things up.

John how's your dad?

Up and down. He’s healing. His strength is coming back. But his memory is getting worse, which I think is due to his diabetes meds not being administered properly, but what do I know from do far.

Tomorrow the home health people go to the house to make an assessment, but from what I gather, nothing has been done about getting a hospital bed at home.

You probably know more than others give you credit for.  The stress of where he is can also be making his issues worse, IMHO.

Yikes.  I read that as "I was surprised at how much I can breathe."  Which of course is no joke when the breathin' ain't good.
