DR Vixmom the doctor seems to be thorough.  Did you like him?

Yes he really listened to me, he had my records from my general practioner up on his screen and was asking questions...

Back from JFK, and boy, was this one a trip.  Someone had turned their car over on the Van Wyck down near the Belt Parkway, and the traffic was backed up to the World's Fair site.  It was brutal.

I'm pretty good at building in the right amount of extra time whenever I drive into the city, because you NEVER know what you're going to get -- most times, it's nothing or very little, but then something like this happens and it all pays off.  It took me one full hour to get into the airport from where I saw the brake lights ahead.  It's also a good thing I wasn't hungry or thirsty or needing a bathroom.  Brutal, I tell you.

Noted:

1010-WINS ("traffic and weather on the ones") pronounces it "Van Wick".

WCBS 880 ("traffic and weather on the eights") pronounces it "Van Wyke", which I believe is the more correct.

On that note (you'll have to guess which one), I bid you all a good night.

That long delay and you were not late,, I am impressed.

Keith finally sounded better today and coughed less.

I am still the same, never sure if I am coming down with something or not.

Okay, I'll take the heat, I'll take the blame - I've been errant and truant since Numero Uno, which I'll talk about in the notes.  As soon as I got home I went to the mail place, then came back home.  It was already four by then, as we didn't leave for lunch until two.  Once home I got involved in merde, then some long conversations on the telephonic device, one of which is going to involve a decision about taking on a project I may not want to take on to quite the extent I'm being asked to think about, but we'll have a meeting about it and see.

Then I had to work at the piano and I finished a song I've been working on and then I just sat on my couch like so much fish and watched two count them two motion pictures.

Is GRUBHUB a national chain, or is it a Northwest company?

I made my own DVD of the opening ceremony, so I also want the closing ceremony.

I set my DVD burner to record the program when I went to work this morning, and now I'm going through and cutting out the commercials.

Is GRUBHUB a national chain, or is it a Northwest company?

According to their website:

Quote
Grubhub is the nation's leading online and mobile food ordering company dedicated to connecting hungry diners with local takeout restaurants. The company’s online and mobile ordering platforms allow diners to order from more than 80,000 takeout restaurants in over 1,600 U.S. cities and London. Every order is supported by the company’s 24/7 customer service teams, and Grubhub has offices in Chicago, New York and London. The Grubhub portfolio of brands includes Grubhub, Seamless, Eat24, AllMenus and MenuPages.
