Well, crap! First, after my union meeting, I went to Subway for a late lunch and read my Kindle. Second, when I got home and came up to my bedroom and saw that my DVR was on, it didn't indicate that it was recording!

So, I just turned on the recording and missed the first half hour.

I can't remember the other nominees, but I'm sure there were more worthy costumes up. But never underestimate the stupidity of the Academy.

There was an article in the Washington Post today about how the prettiest costumes always wins, not necessarily the best.

She "stars" in EMPIRE and FOX series about a music tycoon and his family....she's won at least one EMMY for her role.

She also had a shoot 'em up movie come out this month....called MARY SOMETHING OR OTHER......

They previewed the new Poppins and it got such a dismal reaction that they're reshooting a ton of it. Big surprise. I shan't tell you what one of the authors of the original said when he first heard and read it, but they at least let him come in and make suggestions.
