Well, you're read the notes, the notes were late, fun, and impending, and now it is time for you to post until the late, fun, and impending cows come home.

We're supposed to have another big storm tonight, so I will hold off on the laundry until tomorrow.

We are looking forward to visiting with our DR ChasSmith today.  Annabelle's all spruced up, and Thatch promises to make an effort to be friendly.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the forecast that started off yesterday as 3" to 6" or 5" to 8" ... is now 6" to 10".  Isn't that nice?

The dream I was in when the alarm went off is still trying to get me to pay attention.  It was a "typical" setup, as my dreams go, but I was definitely in California temporarily and it mixed a few different elements in this time.

I'm not sure, but I think I saw ALTERED STATES at the theater when it was released.  Westwood comes to mind.  The Village?

I definitely remember it being one of my early Beta Hi-Fi rentals in 1983 or thereabouts.  I might have rented and watched it a couple of times then, and I read the Paddy Chayefsky book, too, enjoying it all.  I, have the Blu-ray, but now it's been a long time since I've seen it.

The soundtrack LP was a big audiophile favorite, but you "had" to have it on a certain label for the best pressing -- or am I conflating it with something else of that nature?  CAT PEOPLE, maybe?  It's a great score by John Corigliano, and the music and movie are inseparable.

Annabelle and I made our tour of the building, and then I took the garbage to the basement.

This new elevator is really spiffy.  Annabelle, after her frightening moment with the workers and the fire and sparks, thinks it's the gates of hell and refuses to get into it.  When I got to the basement, the elevator foreman was there, making adjustments.  He told me all the junk I saw leaving the building last Friday was the old elevator.  The crew has a ton of equipment in the basement that will be toted away in the next weeks.

I can only think of only one movie I've seen with William Hurt: EYEWITNESS.

DR TCB,  I'm glad you felt better than expected yesterday, and opted not to drive.  Did you sleep well enough last night?

I just looked for it.

I do have a backup of books I have been waiting along time from the library.  Some I was able to slow-up, others I stopped.  It will be about a week, if I am lucky, before I can read Gee.

Saw them all but Women in Love and Tommy are the only ones I could watch a multiple times.

Re: The Devils: Some how I looked 18 years old when it came out and I got in. In Montreal we got the uncut version. The weirdest, strangest and disturbing movie a 12-year-old could see. I would be interested in seeing it again to see if it still has the same effect on me. But I have read its being held back by Warner Bros and the uncut is now lost and even the "tamer" version will not be released.
