Shouldn't we be on page twenty-six?

A little miracle today, but also a little annoyance, but the miracle was bigger than the annoyance.

Nobody here but us chickens.  Have just had a leisurely day - no mail or packages and also no packages or mail.  Made two burgers for my meal - very good and very calorie friendly.  No sweets today at all - maybe just some popcorn later.

Horrible story about Ruthie Ann Miles, who won a Tony for King and i.

Just horrific.   And I just saw her a couple of weeks ago in Chess.  She was so friendly and happy and the stage door.

I am back from a great visit with DR Elmore and those two frisky kids, and a brief stop at Shop Rite for tomorrow's essentials since we're to be snowed in.

I took over a hundred pieces of photographic evidence.  However, I suddenly can't get iTunes to launch on my Windows laptop where I want to transfer them to do the sorting and posting.  And I was just using it last week.  Probably have to restart the computer.  Might have to do it from the MacBook which is set up elsewhere.

Anyway... Thatch might be very skittish, especially around total strangers, but I definitely captured his image - (and, I daresay, his soul -- what am I, Amish all of a sudden?) -- in several playful and extremely cute situations.

Annabelle, of course, posed for her 8x10s with grace and everlasting patience.  And a bit of vanity.

  • Have a REALLY nice day!

Nook is now up:

I just purchased it.  I used my Nook app on my tablet and did a search for GEE.   It did not come up under alone without adding your name, just in case anyone has a problem with it.

Nope.  I stopped reading when I saw it was up and left the page open to your post until I was able to download it onto my app.

I look forward to a few of those 100 photos ;)

The photos are all available on the MacBook now, so I'll have to bring that up to my desk where I can more easily upload a couple of nice ones here, then send the batch to DR Elmore.

Here's a question for whoever knows this stuff:  On the Mac, what's an easy way to reduce the file size of photos for posting here?  (On Windows I use Paint, and reduce by percentages -- keeping aspect ratio the same -- until I find a size that makes sense.  Trial and error.)

Okay, here come two of each of them.  Tomorrow in the cold light of day I'll finish going through the lot, then send them all to DR Elmore.

First, perky little Thatch.

In the Mac, I open the jpg or png photo in Preview, go to Tools and click on Adjust Size.  If you adjust the height to 5.5 or so, the aspect ration remains the same.  You can use rectangular selection to trim and crop the photo.

Thank you!  I'll familiarize myself with that on the morrow.

When you get the batch, you'll see how much I cropped a couple of those -- especially Thatch, since he stayed farther away.  But I'm very pleased with how they all came out.  The camera on the 7+ is incredible.  I probably wouldn't have done as well with my "real" camera.

Great pictures, ChasSmith!
