I gave it 10 minutes and then went out to the car and I was able to clear it and be ready to drive away with 10 minutes with no heavy scraping

The drive home was challenging, I took the "back way" because a google traffic search told me that traffics the LI Distressway was not moving

There was virtually no traffic on the way home but the roads weren't recently plowed and the snow is so heavy that there were may broken huge branches and tree limbs littering the roadway
