The alarm rang at 6:30 7:30 and I forced myself out of bed, fed the birds and the kitties, and now I'm on my first cuppa coffee.

Thatch's attitude to the birds has changed as he ages.  My 4-month old baby hid behind the window screen to watch them, but the 7-month old aggressively stalks them and tries to catch them through the plate glass.

Tritto on the vibes.

Elmore, have you gotten the new Complete Lyrics of Alan Jay Lerner? Maybe I’ll get a copy if I get a tax refund.

I woke up thinking I managed to get 6 hours of sleep, darn if I hadn't forgotten I changed the clocks last night.  I am going to try for that extra hour.

DR TCB, have a good time at the play to today.  The Glass Menagerie is one of my favorite Williams plays, but I think Amanda, like Sally in Follies, is not an easy part to cast.  I hope the cast you're seeing breaks your heart.

The concert last night was fine. I loved the Symphonic songs from On the Town and a cello concerto called Schlomo.

The New World was enjoyable except I had a patron who would not shut up during the piece. His neighbors told him to, I told him to, but he was so excited that he just couldn’t stop whispering to his girlfriend about the piece. And the acoustics in the hall are so good that you can hear every cough, Murder or candy wrapper throughout the whole balcony where I was working. And there was no manager to get him to stop or eject him.

DR JohnG, I do not like the layout of the new Lerner book.  I don't find it as attractive as the ones Robert KImball edited.  I'm more grateful for the lyrics to the shows I don't know than some of the tiny bits of misinformation on the ones I do.

I got my second wind and was going strong at 2:30...which suddenly became 3:30 so I went to bed, but then I only slept for about five and a half hours.  I look forward to getting a nap in at some point later.

I find that if a murder is happening at least four rows away, it’s not so bad, but I do rather resent the ensuing commotion.

This, when I have a gig that takes me to West Haven every evening this week.  It certainly puts that evening’s rehearsal in jeopardy.
