Well, you've read the notes, the notes were new notes in the old hand, and now it is time for you to post until the old cows come home.

BK, I realize that today is not Wednesday, but what exactly are the opticals in a film?

Opticals are things like dissolves, fade outs and ins, anything that's not original production photography - main titles, special effect shots, that sort of thing.

BK:

Not a big deal, but I think that WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS was released before BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT.  On the other hand, perhaps REASONABLE DOUBT was made first, but released 2nd.

I remember this because, when I first met Ida Lupino and Howard Duff, WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS had just been released.

It has warmed up considerably and the snow had melted to large degree, what a difference a day makes

I have a souvenir programme for that Weissler Babes In Toyland.  I also knew an actor in it, C.A. Hutton, who had told me 30 years ago, when I was working on the Houston Grand Opera production, about the Weissler disco version.  Here's the Houston set for Act one, Scene One.  Contrary Mary is the patchwork dress sown in the righthand corner.

This morning around 9:30 I will take Annabelle for her blood work.  She and Thatch this morning completely ignored their Fancy Feast salmon-shrimp paté.  I guess I'll be donating those cans to some rescue group.

Before we head out, I need to make the bed, pick up every thing Annabelle has pushed off a ledge, empty the litter, and hopefully finish a page ofr the Violin A part to "The Sun Has Got His Hat On."

Annabelle pissed and moaned all the way down and back on the bus.  They will call me in a day or two with the results of the blood work. I've booked her dental work for April 10.

Friday morning greetings!  Richard and I will grocery shop today, along with everyone else anticipating a snowy day tomorrow.  Tonight we're using some friends' tickets to Middletown Lyric Theatre's Blues in the Night.  Anita and her husband are subscribers and have to be out of town this weekend, so we're going in their place.

I quickly crashed last night and barely read 1 chapter.  This morning my ebook arrived 😊

I still plan to read the hardcover during the day as a treat to myself.

Dr Ginny, here are Jim Martin's daughter and her husband Tim at last night's opening of Frozen.  Tim was the director's assistant.  She looks so much like her father.

Still in a state of being E & T just missing a few pages of posts here and there.

(Not that it's likely, but if I missed anything that anyone thought I'd answer, could you PM me or email me? I'm trying to ketchup but it's been out of order for some reason.)
