Stephane Audran has died. Loved Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.

Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie is one of the two Buñuel movies that Stephen Sondheim and David Ives' new musical will be based on.  The other is The Exterminating Angel.  I need to watch both of them.  I did buy them, but haven't watched either, yet. ::)

MR BK very interesting article at that link.

Very interesting.  I read certain FB notifications that friends and people in groups that I follow have posted, but I don't spend very much time there anymore.  I haven't in quite a while.  It's just HHW for me! :D

I have just recently awakened from a nice nap in my new glider.

Very comfy.  And now I'm rested.

Funny...I remember everyone in Buffalo had snow tires in the 60's and 70's but I never hear my family members mentioning them anymore.  And Buffalo of course gets a fair amount of snow.   I'll have to ask Kate (now Cate).

Back from a visual fields test.  I have no idea what the results will be or what my doctor will say about it.  I've run my errands, given the babies a treat and I need a lie-down.

I had to look up what a visual fields test is.  Good luck on the results.

DR George re: snow tires. If you live in a place where there is a lot of winter this is a MUST. They are required here. And it is so much better to drive with winter tires in the snowy weather.

I can understand if they're required, but in this area, they're not.  It seems like so many people get them, but to me they aren't necessary.  Maybe I'm just oblivious to the dangers of driving. ::)

;)

You probably don't drive where you need them.

I avoid such areas whenever possible.

Back from a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and a side Caesar salad, picking up one package, still trying to get a call from the publisher, and realizing there's something seriously wrong with my printer that will probably require a new one very soon.  It's been a problem for over a year, but I haven't been printing that much, but it's gotten much worse now.

I would like to see a photo of said glider from DR RLP.  I only know of gliders of the out of doors variety....made of metal.....uncomfortable to sit upon....and very HOT in the summer....

All Netflix and printer problems fixed - called Spectrum and we did a lot of tests, then we did what Netflix had actually asked me to do weeks ago, but I wasn't willing - we rebooted the router and modem and voila - Netflix working via the Blu-ray, printer now printing quickly, thank goodness.  So, that's very good.  And finally had a call from my gal at the publisher - she was out yesterday, but is on top of everything and I trust her completely.

Just got the master for Pieces-Of-Eight - it sounds great, amazing really, and it's a completely delightful revue, I must say.

I wised up to having snow tires late in life, around ten or twelve years ago, and around here they're the best thing ever.  I'm surprised more of my friends don't indulge, but they do make a difference.  I'm pretty good about going easy on them, so my first set of snows lasted me something like eight seasons.  I've got two seasons, so far, on the second set.

I don't think metal studs are allowed here.  What I remember from L.A. is that people driving up into the mountains (e.g. Big Bear and Arrowhead) in winter were *required* to put chains on their tires starting at a given elevation.  I never had them (and they always seemed like they'd be a nightmare to put on), though I did have them put on the snowblower.

I, too, had an eye exam today. I had a mad hatter's ride through Beverly Hills on Uber, then a long wait to see the ophthalmologist. She confirmed what I'd already been told.

Call me difficult, but I DON'T LIKE all the poking and prodding and having very bright lights in my eyes. Enough! I'm having medical/dental procedure fatigue!

I am TOTALLY ready for an eye exam.  My last was a year and a half ago, and I know I'm well on my way toward requiring the ever popular cataract surgery.  My favorite optometrist just retired, so I have to do a little doctor research.
