...Oh, and I have to say, that fasting today was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.  -Which probably means I ate a LOT of junk yesterday, and I have a bunch of stored "energy".  I drank a few glasses of juice and plenty of water, and I feel fine.  I may continue this tomorrow - I'll see what I feel like in the morning.  Cleansing is good.

As for my retail therapy today...

It was all purely window shopping.  I was tempted by a few items, but I never made it to a cash register with anything in hand.

What was fun was looking at all these people getting out their cars dressed to the nines - men in tuxedos, ladies in ballgowns - and then proceeding through Pentagon City mall to the subway to take the Metro into town for the Inaugural Balls.  The entrance to the Metro is through the Food Court, and it started to look like a Fellini movie with all the various forms of dress on display.  -There were also a lot of groups at Pentagon City who had just come back in from the Inaugural Parade.  And there was also something going on at the Ritz Carlton next door - lots of limos.

Thankfully, the trip in to the theatre was painless.  A little slowdown at the end of the 14th Street Bridge - it was closed off so that you could not proceed onto 14th Street - but, otherwise, it seemed like a very light rush hour.  And, apparently, it was a very light rush hour.  Most people took the day off, and/or took the Metro in for the events during the day.

Back from the movie.  I'm having a late-night meal in a while, so must write the notes now - I'm going to try to get back by midnight, but if I don't, they'll go up soon thereafter.

DR Danise - Phones in bathrooms aren't really that practical.  People can tell you're talking to them in the bathroom due to that inevitable "bathroom echo".  ;)

However, a TV in the bathroom is not unheard of... And if the hotel/bathroom happens to be equipped with a whirlpool tub.... Ahh!

Well... I need to get up early-ish tomorrow and get some errands done... And I'm kind of sleepy too already - I guess I'm still recovering my 21-hour day yesterday....

Off to the Land of Wussburgers I go...

Goodnight.

What school do you go to, Jenny, that does not carry classic poets and writers?  I find it very disconcerting.

Well, I'm steadily getting things ready for tomorrow.  All the shopping is done, and most of the cleaning.  I have to clean the kitchen floor, the bathtub, and put the rest of the clean clothes away.  Then I shall be ready...at least, physically ready.  I'm getting a tiny bit jumpy, just dreading it a bit.

DR George - With the assistance of my Mom - oh, I guess this is her first official appearance on HHW then!...

Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal = Why Do I Love You More?

It also happens to be the title of the movie that Lea Solanga did in the Philippines after finishing her run in Miss Saigon in the US, and the song appeared on her self-titled album.

The movie concerns Lea's characters choosing between to men, thus the song title's question.

It's actually listed on the IMDB.

Thanks for the info!!  I'll try and keep it for future reference (at least, I've renamed my MP3 file to include the English version of the title). ;D

How do you know what type of Girl Scout cookies they offer?  I thought that each area had their own selection?  Seattle offers different cookie varieties than Tacoma.

Do they?    I did notr know that.  However we do have both thin mints and peanutbutter sandwich cookies as well as many other delicous varieties   :D

I noticed a psychadelic blue book called The Way that was apparently given out on college campuses in the seventies.  It involves lots of photos of hippies who are filled with Christ love and illegal substances praying in harmony, and the text is translated into hippie-speak.  I just read Mark.  It was quite amusing.

The Way was very popular with memebers of my church youth group, although I myself never had a copy  do share some of the translations, it'll bring back memories of my youth... ;)

It is not The Tin Man who is gay in the Wizard of Oz. It's the Lion and he freely admits to Dorothy.

Yeh, it's sad, believe me, Missy,
When you're born to be a sissy
Without the vim and verve.
But I could show my prowess, be a lion not a mou-ess
If I only had the nerve.
I'm afraid there's no denyin' I'm just a dandelion,
