I am sorry to hear that about Julie, FJL.  Milla doesn't surprise me at all, but Julie does.

Not the site.  Anyone can post any pictures of a certain size.  Perhaps it's too large?

No, I don't think that's it.  I usually get a notice that the file is too large and it won't go through.  This is a new glitch.

Interesting that you think that about Milla.  I'm very happy about the quality of the Kritzerland CD, everything KLritzeland did that made the product classy, and having Skip and my name on it as a quality work.  I thank you for that.

I feel the same quality-wise about that reading at TRU in mid-January, and Skip's very successful show at 54 Below which Julie produced, even to Herculean producing effort by Julie at some surprises on the day of!

DR Elmore:

What I see in your posts is the filename of the jpeg, and when I click on it, it downloads instead of displaying anything, and the downloaded file is 0 kilobytes in size.

And I am back from the Cat Clinic and the record store.

I even bought something (I always try to whenever I'm in there):  a volume I didn't have (and rarely ever saw, Volume VII, the last one) of the Music of Arnold Schoenberg series on Columbia.

And that's just a "thing" with me. I love certain Schoenberg pieces, and find others unlistenable. But I have always so appreciated the attention paid to Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern back in the 1960s and thereabouts, by Columbia or CBS or whoever was behind it, that these various still enjoy permanent residence here.

Yep.  Something clearly wrong.  I can post on Facebook, so I'm puzzled.

Has anyone else posted any photos here lately?

Yes, I just saw your test photo on Facebook.

All of my recent ones have been fine, so let me try one right now from the HHW photo folder...

Was Kostelanetz on Columbia Records? Such a famous name, but I honestly can’t say I ever heard any of his recordings. More likely, I did and just wasn’t aware of it.

Just checked, and of course Columbia. I would wager my mom and dad acquired a few of those albums from the record club.

He was married to soprano Lily Pons.

I didn't know that!

We did a beautiful job on the Milla CD - if she's anything but grateful, shame on her.

And considering that we've probably sold all of about twenty copies she should REALLY be grateful.

I forgot to mention that I got a really nice letter from the Screen Actors Guild yesterday - saying that now that I'm seventy, I no longer have to pay dues, unless I at some point earn over a certain amount of money.  That is the way a union should behave.

I had bad news last night.  My cousin Judy, who's a year younger than I, died yesterday from heart failure.  I found a post on Facebook from her daughter Michelle last night, and sent an email to my cousin Sue, who's my most sensible cousin, for details.  I got her email this morning.

My sympathies. Vibes of comfort

She was totally grateful for the CD.  Yes, totally.  But after we had to face reality that publicity would not bring nearly the sales that the promotion would cost, I didn't hear from her for a while or get answers to calls.  Then, we started talking again when I saw a TV ad she did (non-singing, which she was actually really good in, I thought) so I called her up, and it was pleasant.  Then she did a table-read for us in Nov. 2013, but then the strangeness over the show at Midtown Int'l Theatre Festival Feb-March 2014.

Story suggesting another reason we'd never heard before that the post office might be having problems and losing business to UPS and FedEx

I'd forgotten that Peter Filichia wrote the liner notes.
