Now I can concentrate on ANNIE...

Did I make this up, or was it real -  I seem to recall one of the "adult" film house marquees in Times Square around ANNIE time on Broadway showing LITTLE OFTEN ANNIE.

Oh yeah, and laundry. Mustn't forget that.

But dirty laundry can be fun, too.

I am wrong about the timeline.  LITTLE OFTEN ANNIE, with Desiree Lane in the title role, was in 1984.  imdb notes that "after a career as one of the top stars in the adult-film industry, she became a born-again Christian and left the business in 1988."

I wonder if that film included the "You're Never Fully Dressed" with the famous Jason Graae costuming choice.

Looks like you had a great time at the reunion, JRand! I skipped my last two. I couldn't lose 30 pounds in time.

Yesterday Sandra and I saw the tour of The Color Purple, which, I might add, contained no purple at all.

The set was chairs hung on a wall. I am too stupid to figure out the symbolism in that.

I've tidied up, made the bed, cleaned the litter, patrolled the hall with Annabelle, gone to market, assembled a new scratching board with a butterfly toy that Thatch loves, assembled my new Lacie external hard drive, and put away the Amazon order.  I'm tired.

I did not go to my last high school reunion - the one prior to that was it for me.  I find that there are too many people who never left high school - that was their glory days, and they revert to that person the minute they walk in the door.  While I had a certain amount of fun in high school, all having to do with theater, I would never in a million years consider it my glory days.  I couldn't wait till it was over, frankly.  And I didn't care for many of my male classmates, several of whom were raging bullies.

I had been using IGHome as my homepage since IGoogle went down a few years ago.

But it has become a mess.....too many ads....and video ads that start to play even though you click the button that is supposed to stop them.

Today I switched to ProtoPage....so far so good.....

I know some have raved about The Color Purple, both in its original production and its revival - I have never had an iota of interest to see or hear it.  I'm sure I'm missing out, but something in me tells me it would be exactly what I think it is.

I think this is a common problem MR BK - and one of the reasons I had NOT been to a reunion since the Tenth One.

But this was our 50th and our committee really wanted a good showing for the alumni dinner - and I like MOST of the people on the committee - so I went....but yes for most of the reason you wrote about....it is over for me!

This is a picture of my sister in law Faith (left) and our friend Debbie - you can get a better look at our gym - refurbished of course - from our Jr. High Days.  This is looking from the stage end of the building.

I did go to mine, despite the bullies. It was so disorganized that I didn’t have to mingle with anyone I didn’t care to see. I may skip the next one.

I couldn't wait to get out of high school either.  Not a fun time, though I did play the lead in the Senior play (A SLIGHT CASE OF MURDER).

Could wait to graduate from college either and get on with my life.

I am shocked by the jewelry story.

It's like a stupid criminal story, if she was unethical enough to actually fix the raffle  she should have been smart enough to act surprised (if delighted) when the president won rather then proudly announcing her criminal activity

Vixdad and I are currently watching Unfaithfully Yours (the Rex Harrison original).

That may have influenced my previous post
