LOVE AND FISH
« on: January 21, 2005, 11:58:32 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, you've loved the notes, you've fished the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the lovely fish cows come home.

Notes will be up in a mere moment.  I'm listening to Bill Evans doing Claus Ogerman's Symbiosis.  Marvelous.  It's slow movement is featured extensively in Sideways.

Looks like we've got a birthday to celebrate.  I'll add it to the notes.

What am I, doing a monologue all of a sudden?  Let's have some ACTION, baby.  Otherwise, I shall be going to sleep sans ACTION, baby, and we cannot have that.

Congrats on 9000 posts, BK!  Love and fish, hmmm, may have to sleep on that - ooh that could be a little lumpy and the fish may smell by morning, so maybe the fish will stay in  the refrigerator and I'll wake in the morning thinking of love songs about fish.....

Ah, a customer - oh, a Sweeny Todd reference.

My favorite love songs with love in the title:  Our Love is Here To Stay, Our Winter Love (Bill Purcell instrumental, but it still has "love" in the title), Love in a Home (beautiful Li'l Abner song), Love Story (the Randy Newman song), The Look of Love, Where is Love.

It's a good thing I put the car in the garage environment, because otherwise I'd be sorely tempted to drive directly to Jerry's to get some French fries and ranch dressing.

Have to think about the "love" songs.  My favourite fish song is a song by Hoagy Carmichael, the title of which I believe is "Some Days There Just Ain't No Fish."

Oh...one "love"song...Speak Low, When You Speak Love...

Speak Low does not have "love" in the title.

Like Love has "love" in the title.  I love Like Love - by Mr. Previn.

Might I just say that if you do not own the album Bill Evans with Symphony Orchestra, you should just hie yourself to whatever store you frequent online or off and purchase it.  I have probably listened to this album more times than any other I have ever owned.  I never tire of it.  It is perfection.

Speaking of Bill Evans and Love -- How about the Spartacus Love Theme from Conversations with Myself?

Much as I love it, it doesn't really have "love" in the title.
