The Orpheum Theater in Sioux City which was restored a few years ago recently restored the original Wurlitzer Organ. To celebrate they are presenting a step back into the 1920s by having a silent film festival which includes Lon Chaney in Phantom of the Opera, Charlie Chaplin in Gold Rush, and Charlie Chaplin in A Dog's Life in the original 35MM format accompained by Dennis James on the Wurlitzer.

Sounds like fun!

It does!  Too bad I'm so far away.....

Oh, there's a song!

So Far Away, doesn't anhybody stay in one place anymore?  It would be so fine to see your face at my door...

I wonder what Mr. Haines would make of that.

Good afternoon all.
I am back and am now staple-free.  The doctor says I am healing nicely, no infection or brusing, and should be back to normal in a month or so.  Goody.

Dr Ann is back dance!!!  Did you save your staples for posterity?  One of these days when you are rich and famous they will fetch a pretty penny on ebay!!!

Ann, do you know what they did in honor of you?  They opened a store near me - Staples.

Hmmm.... Falafel!

I almost had falafel for dinner tonight.  And I had some very good falafel whilst I was out in LA at some place on Fairfax (I think) just up a few blocks from Diamond Bakery and Canter's Deli (is it Canter's?).  DR Jay recommended it to me.  Very good falafel.

Maybe next time we are in L.A.  I miss having a really good falafel.  There is a place in the Westwood Village that has good ones.

Jrand - okay, technically it'll be 2 months before I'm 100% me again, but a month and I'll be able to do things like work and go to the gym without discomfort.
I am afraid, however, that it will be a while before I can limbo again :)

I think Guy could do a nice job with "Where Was I (When They Passed Out Luck)?" from Minnie's Boys.

I think my laserdisc of DEEP IN MY HEART is in stereo. I don't know why TCM wouldn't show it that way. I'll check when I go downstairs.

We're on a carousel
A crazy carousel

Let us have no pall over the room.  I do know some people would like to have a Paul (as in Haber) over the room.  He's been visiting our site recently -

Oh, my gosh!

Falafelling in Love with Love is falafelling for make-believe!
Falafelling in Love with Love is playing the fool!
Caring too much is such a juvenile fancy!
Learning to trust is just for children in school.
I falafelled in Love with Love one night when the moon was full
I was unwise with eyes unable to see!
I falafelled in Love with Love with love ever-lasting.
But Love falafelled out, with me!!

(Repeat)

DR Jane

I am eating an egg bagel and thinking of you!!

I shall try and get that package off to you tomorrow.

Do you want just egg or would lioke some pumpernickel, or rye or sesame or eveything bagels thrown in as well?

Aren't you sweet.  I would love an egg bagel right now, maybe more than a falafel.  I do enjoy pumpernickel but mostly egg please with a few rye, depending on how many you can send.
