Too bad the show wasn't recorded like the various S.T.A.G.E concerts were over the years.

The show sounds wonderful, and I am happy that it went well.

I did not sleep well.  Too many anxiety attacks.  The tsuris will continue through tomorrow, possibly longer.

Anti-anxiety vibes to Larry!

Is this out of fear about not having a good super in case of an emergency? Are you OK otherwise

Good morning from Hollywood!  I wish I could have slept longer but I guess I'm still on Eastern time.

Bruce, I'm amazed that you were able to write those fantastic notes after the long day you had!

I can't say enough about last night's show!  Just fantastic!  I was of course disappointed that a certain superstar's sister didn't perform.

My experience with the ticketing:  I called after the show was sold out and was put on the "wait list."  I didn't have much hope but when I called back a week about 10 days  ago the woman was actually encouraging.  She said "just be sure to answer your phone."  She explained that if they called to let you know you had tickets you had to answer - they wouldn't be leaving a message!

I also asked if there would be a cancellation line and she confirmed that there would be and it would probably start at 5:30 pm ( the show started at 7:30 pm)

So I considered going to LA without a ticket and planning to be the first in the cancellation line (and I would have certainly waited till 7 pm --see BK's notes) so I guess I would have gotten in.  But the question was: where would I be sitting?  While the theatre is small and the view is probably fine from anywhere it's always best to be up front I think.

So last Sunday my friend Roxie called and said that her friend, whose daughter is interested in performing and goes to the high school where BK and Mr. Sherman appeared a couple of years ago, was not able to use her tickets since she would have to work Saturday night.  So Roxie, Paul and I had tickets!

The friend, Laura, told us that she got an email earlier this week informing her that she had to confirm her tickets, which she did.  Laura also mentioned that I would be picking up the tickets.

I called the "Wallis" to get as much information as I could.  I asked if there would be seat assignments or if there would be open seating.  The man told me that there WOULD be seat assignments but they would be assigned when you picked up your tickets.  They would start giving out tickets at 5:30 pm.  I arrived at the theatre at about 4:10 and waited for my friends.   In the meantime, I tried to open the door and a man opened from the inside and asked if I were a musician.  I said, no, I'm wondering about lining up for tickets.  He said they would start at about 5 pm.

My friends came along and were starving.  By this time I was second in a line of about 12 people.  We agreed that I would wait in line and they would head towards a restaurant and I would join them after I got the tickets.  So, finally the doors opened at about 5:15.  We walked in, only to find about 6 people already in line ( I don't know how they got in the building).  All this time I was thinking that something would go wrong and that they wouldn't let me have the tickets, but it was fine.  I looked at my tickets and we were in the front row on the side!

I joined my friends at the restaurant.  Roxie told me that Laura had texted her to say that she had gotten another email from The Wallis telling her that if she didn't pick up her tickets by 7 pm, they would give them away!    So that's my story, boring as it was---but I got a lot of posts from it!

I agree about Melissa Manchester--she was just so wonderful singing "Feed the Birds."    Brent's choreography on "I Wanna Be Like You" had to be seen to be believed.   I didn't know that "She Has a Way" was a duet in Busker Alley.  He and his former costar were terrific, of course.

I would never recognize Johnny Whitaker.  Of course it's been 50 years since Family Affair!  He performed his song really beautifully.
