TCB, Phoenix is a popular area for retirees. Yes, it is miserably hot in the summer, but you just stay inside. We have no snow, no hurricanes, little humidity (only with the summer storms), and a pretty good cost of living.

No ragged edges and small miracle vibes for MR BK.

DR TCB you could come and live in Indiana - there ain't nothing here, but it's fun sometimes.

Nice props DR GEORGE.

The Motion Picture Academy has announced that they are now not only going to give an Oscar to the "Best Picture of the Year," but also the "Most Popular Picture of the Year".

Dumb idea!

The "Most Popular" Picture is determined by the box-office gross. Why does the Academy have to vote on that?

I've always loved "Sez I" from DONNYBROOK, but wonder if that's more a non-obscure song  from an obscure show.

Perhaps MR BK can give us a ruling.

I don't know if you'd call it obscure, but I've always liked "Those Were the Good Old Days" from DAMN YANKEES!

Also, "J. Edgar Hoover" from HAIL ON THE CHIEF!

Perhaps MR BK can give us a ruling.

I think Bk would rule in favor of any answers that provoke lengthy discussion that adds to the posting totals and time spent on HHW

While you're checking, can you check whether we can declare Cabot Cove a real place for the purposes of this site.

That Jessica Fletcher. She means well, but  any time I see she's staying at the same hotel as me, I skedaddle asap!

TCB, last night's ruminations were delightful.

And should get an award for proper use of posting space.

Would you really avoid a city because an ex of yours lives there?  (or was that just a joke?)

I tried to log on from 7:30 to 9:30 when I left for City Center.  O am home early since Joshie had an Irish Rep band rehearsal at 12:30 to rehearse my close personal friend and DR Laura's, Ben Davis, who goes into the show tonight. I brought work home with me and I'll see him on Monday.

I am working in the box office tonight to not sell tickets we don't have, and I hope everyone who reserved tickets picks them up.

They keep telling people that tickets that aren't picked up by 7:30 are released....so the vultures start gathering about 6 p.m. - I don't sell the tickets until at least 7:55....what if there was traffic or car trouble or a slow waiter....it's a pain....

If they come and the curtain speech has started at least you can say....sorry and have a reason....

DR JRand67, both Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have not only mind-boggling dialogue but some of the most cliché'd and/or stupefyingly ridiculous or impossible situations I've only seen in the lousy romance novels my loony mother read during the 1970s.  Annabelle says she's left better dialogue and scenes in her litter box.

As part of my lunch, I’m noshing on a cucumber from the backyard. Nothing like that flavor.

Something very interesting is happening today. I found an article on how bank apps are too confusing for customers. So, I started to read this to see how I can improve my work. Turns out we were cited as the best in the business, and my response (same as my work wife’s) was, well, we’re doing our job.

The new boss, however, sent it out to folks above with her praise attached. And the highest level boss she reached out also sent Krista and me congratulations. This hasn’t happened here before.

Well two strong guys came and got a cast iron radiator that was on my back porch.  I don't know where it came from or how it ended up out there....but now it will be starring in BAREFOOT IN THE PARK....

Here are the fronts of the cell phones that show a screen capture of my very own cell phone's key pad:

Clever.
And here are the backs of the cases.  The one in the lower center is the one for Elle.  I hot-glued the "jewels" around the camera window and the outer edges:

They look great.

Thanks and thanks!  I hope that the director likes them.

I had originally borrowed the cell phones that Olympia Family Theater had used for Cinder Enda, but those were a little too bejeweled (and juvenile) for the other Legally Blonde characters, so I had to make new ones.  What was also funny about those OFT phones is that a couple of the actresses had taped line cues on the front of the their phones! :))
