Yes! I was there! Thank you, DR Jrand68, for posting the TRUTH!

(That’s actually my own picture, btw, a 35mm slide. It’s been the most popular shot on the Dome’s page on cinematreasures.org for a long time...something I only recently became aware of when a couple of people complained that it had been pushed off from being the most viewed or liked, and they actually took the trouble to manipulate it back into first place.)

Nice picture, ChasSmith...even with Jrand's "addition." ;D

Confirmed.

Oh, no. :( I saw her in Kiss Me, Kate! in London in 2001 and got her autograph and a picture, and got to chat with her for a few minutes after the show.  She was so nice. :'(

Remember the opening credits for the Barefoot in the Park TV series? (with the cop having a glass of their wedding champagne while working!)

(not great quality, but you get the idea)

Fascinating that the cancellation of the TV series was said to be because of Scoey Mitchlll being a problem.  But  his marriage is still going strong since 1973.

I find it fascinating because I just saw recently that Topol (maybe still best known to many for the FIDDLER IN THE ROOF film), who's been said to be one of the toughest people in show biz to work with, also has a marriage that just keeps going, Topol's since 1956.

It says the "Barefoot in the Park" TV series only had 12 episodes, and they ended up just getting folded for syndication into "Love, American Style."

She was always wonderful.  I first saw her in an Equity Library production of Where's Charley? in the early-mid 1980s, and I last saw her as the Narrator in the Encores! production of Zorba.  I went into a preview of Kiss Me, Kate thinking she was all wrong and she turned out to be one of the best things about the mediocre production.  I wish I'd seen her replace Kelli O'Hara in The King and I.
She finally got the rave from Ben Brantley for King and I. I wish I had seen it, too, even if I turned off Kelli.

Saw this online:

Daughter: What does gays mean?

Father: Well you know mum and dad love each other - two men can love each other the same way

Daughter: So what's 'penetrating gays'?

Father: Er... read me the whole sentence

Daughter: "She stared at him with a penetrating gaze"

Father: Oh

Back from a fun lunch with Robert Yacko.  We had to make a two-act version of his show, so we've added five songs to it and I switched the order around to find a great closer for Act One - Skipper should be happy - it's She Dies/Time and Again.

No packages, no mail.  I'm told that a new important envelope is going out today or tomorrow - they way in which I was told this pretty much tells me the original envelope was never sent.

Sad about Marin, but since both she and Jason had gone radio silence for the past two or three months I knew it probably wasn't good - both were very vocal posters about the fight.  She was terrific and will be missed.

Directed by John Cameron Mitchell. He directed Rabbit Hole, his own Hedwig and the Angry Inch and my favorite 9/11 movie, Shortbus.
