I am quite familiar with the ice cream sandwiches from Trader Joe's. I can well understand eating two at a time.

TCB:  What is the name of the play ?

The play is called FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70TH BIRTHDAY.

Thanks.  I think I've heard that title before.

It was at Playwrights Horizons about a year ago.

Sorry to have missed so many posts here.  I've also got to ketchup on the notes.

Jrand - I'm imagining a possible New Yorker cartoon caption:

You're in seat K-9?  Certainly, my good boy.  I'll let you sit at the next scene change.

I may have mentioned those titles on marquees in the 42nd Street before the  1990s.  I checked and I did not imagine it or make it up:  There was indeed a real film called "Bareback in the Park."

Cue the Johnny Mercer - Neal Hefti song: (try not to change "barefoot" to "bareas*ed" or "bareback"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZewJptePXb0

(the actual Johnny Mercer lyric)

Going barefoot in the park,
Where it says, "Keep off the grass,"
Isn't recommended for the very old.

But when you're young and you're in love
The world is beautiful and
I'm not a bit afraid of you catching cold.

Running barefoot through the park,
Searching bareheaded in the rain
For a mid-winter daisy
Seems kind 'o crazy to do.

But come along, my barefoot love,
To the fields that shine with spring.
Though it’s ten below
Let me go
Knee-deep in daisies with you.

It was a party for the September birthdays. They had us  birthday folks all gather at the center of the dance floor and then joined around us win a ring. We danced and they danced. It was apparently a Mexican custom to surround people with a circle of friends to wish them the best for the year.

It was really very nice.

Becks is turning out to be a surprisingly good movie. Thanks to the cast, which also includes Dan Fogel and Mena Suvari.

Wondering if there'll be any interest in these classic LA TV Guides.  While there are plenty of vintage TV guides to be had, very few are from LA.

I'm sure it sounds depressing, but it's actually quite fascinating and moving.

"Theater Talk" is ending after many many years!

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/16/theater/theater-talk-cuny-tv-susan-haskins.html

I'd been working on a parody version for quite a while, with the OKs of Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins.  It was happening, and then the development funding left when all the garbage was popping up on google.

Since the show involved money left in an aunt's will, I've used an enigmatic title for the script (which may be changed if the script ever gets on.).

Here is act 1 of "Theater Squawk, or My Dead Aunt Thanks You!" - script for first act at this link:

Tomorrow morning I return for my post-op appointment, 3 days before the surgeon said the cast can come off.

I am hoping the x-ray is good and the cast can be removed.  I am also nervous about the condition of my arm & elbow having been in a cast so long.
