Thanks, Vixmom! It was definitely worth going to. I did see a few young teenagers their with people who I assumed were grandparents, and they all looked kind of excited to be there, so that's good. And NONE of them had cell phones out, so that's really good!

Funny - after hearing everyone sing last night and then losing our performer, I began to think our cast only has one number at the top and one at the end where everyone gets to sing together. So, last night I began to think about this party song I have for the Christmas Past sequence - I wrote it short with a dance section - just two choruses - and I thought maybe it could use a bridge and a third chorus where everyone could sing - that's why I was up until four and I came up with the bones of a tune and structure for the bridge. So I've spent most of this morning writing it - and I like it and now we have a third chorus before the dance and it feels more complete and everyone gets to sing. I made a rough recording and sent it to our MD, and I'm hoping he can at least make a lead sheet so we can teach it tonight.
