And on and on it goes.  Now another actress is dropping out because she says she didn't know the commitment was for rehearsals every night.  Never mind that it stated that clearly on her audition sheet, never mind that she agreed to it if we'd work out her ongoing two-nights a week work conflict - we bent over backwards to do exactly that, changing our off-night to her work night, and starting earlier on her second work night so she could leave and get to her job.  But when you do that, then that door just keeps getting pushed and pushed and pushed.  I'm sure if Doug went to her and said why throw away all the work you've done - tell us what the issues are NOW that you didn't tell us THEN, I'm sure she'd say she has to miss four or five more rehearsals and I'm walking away from this if that's the only way we continue.  But if we have to find someone new that means I've got to do a bunch of work all over again and lose even more time.  It's completely infuriating - and since they've asked me to direct a show there next year in this slot, I will not even consider it unless every actor I cast signs a paper saying with the exception of listed conflicts they will not have any other conflicts and will be committed to the show from beginning to end.  I so don't want to even go to the theater tomorrow because now I have to most likely replace this actress, still find another actress, and potentially replace a performer who can't remember two words of one line or lyric - that decision will be made on Friday, but replacing three people means I'm gonna lost two days of run-throughs.

He did 3 different types of method to relax the scar tissue and my tight skin around it, and they each increased my movement a little.

The first method was what he called doing an Indian Burn.  Do you remember that "playful" way to inflict pain without damage?  I do.

I remember that. ::)

:P

Yup.  At least this time when I said it was starting to burn he eased up.  It is also done with a wide elastic band.

And now, I'm off to my sister's.  We're going to go through our local ballot and discuss things.  Then I'll fill out mine when I get home.

Be back later...AND DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!! :D

Have fun reading Initiative 1631.  I can't get over how long it is  ::)

I had full a full completely sedated surgery when I had mine put in and taken out

When the doctor removed mine in January, I could have ripped him so hard that he'd have needed his own port. I don't remember pain like that except for one of the worst kidney stones.

Did he give you anything first?

Last night, it was so thick, I couldn’t see the cars in the parking lot.

Of course, since the fog is gone, it means that the rain is returning.

Well, this is interesting...Titanic II to offer passengers similar experience as Titanic (minus iceberg incident).  Tom, start saving your pennies now!

;)

No thanks, in a former life, I was on the original.

Thanks George.  You should have a key chain in your mailbox today.

Coincidentally, I had a dream about being in a store that had lots of keychains. I started looking for one for DR George. I think the dream ended before I found one.

How ironic, George has now opened a keychain store to sell off his excess bounty.

I can't remember what the concensus was between us.  We discussed this longer than any other issue and I forgot to make note of which choice was preferred. :-\

As for the Addams Family dress rehearsal tonight...

oh   my   god...

Isn't it incredible -- I mean, it's fascinating -- how you can experience a work as put together by one group, and then travel a few miles down the road and see it put together by another ... and it's like the second group never even got the memo. Or read the headlines.

But, oh well. It's nice that people like me can make a quick buck by stepping in and providing a service. I do not complain. No, sir.

Hmm...that sounds intriguing.

1631 is the one issue that I can’t make up my mind about.  Oh well, I will have to decide by tomorrow.
