Well, I need to be off, too.  A little earlier, I finished making a prop.  Hopefully, it's one of the last props that I need to do.  The character of Eddie is supposed to be wearing a leopard print shirt.  After (SPOILER ALERT) Frank-n-Furter kills him, Frank give a bag of Eddie's bloody body parts to someone.  I got some body parts and a head, but I didn't have a torso.  I was hoping that the costumer would have another shirt, or one very similar to what she has him in, but she didn't.  I went to Walmart to see if they might have a leopard print throw that I could cut up and sew into a shirt form and stuff to be the torso in the bag, but I actually found a (ladies', but who cares) leopard print blouse!  I stapled and/or sewed the head and arm holes shut, and stuffed it with paper towels, then actually taped closed the remaining hole.   And here it is!

And since it never leaves the bag, no one will otherwise be able to tell that it's just a stuffed shirt. ;)

Annabelle is so adorable this morning.  Around 3:00 this morning, she ands Thatch subjected me t0 a round of noisy rambunctious play.  When it ended, Thatch crawled into bed with me and slept through the night, while Annabelle retired to her favorite Fancy Feast carton.   This morning, she's been watching the parade go by, sitting regally in her Fancy Feast throne.  The incongruity of this regal animal posed in a flimsy cardboard carton is quite wonderful.

Six degrees of separation: one of the Tree of Life victims is a relative of my composer friend Ryan Shore, nephew of film composer Howard Shore.

Well, my 2001 Camry passed the yearly safety inspection the other day, but the question is:  will it pass the emissions inspection, which has to be done every two years?  The "check engine" light keeps coming on (when that happens it has to do with the emissions system, per the car repair guy) and I've had three parts replaced.  The last time (about 2 weeks ago, it came on, the guy at the repair place said he couldn't find anything else wrong.

Of course many of my friends and family think I should buy a new car, but I hate to spend so much money on something I don't use that much.   I am driving more since I've retired, though.

Feeling wiped out this morning, following a long day yesterday. And I’ve got a long one today. Fortunately, I can rest for a couple of hours before things get busy.

DR TCB your storm sounds like the one that skirted us while we walked yesterday.  We could hear the thunder and saw lightening a couple of times very far away from us.
