Well, you've read the notes, the notes replaced the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the replacement cows come home.

I slept quite poorly last night, and I had terrible dreams.  Much of it is anxiety and stress, I'm sure, but I think some of this lousy sleeping is due to the weather's vagaries.

TOD:

Scrabble
And in the car, I like to play a game where you have to come up with a word using the letters in the license plate in front of you. Can be a name or a title. Not fun when you have something like KJX.

Two -- count'em -- two, DR Jrand68 ..... Mikey (rescued/adopted name) and Poe.
Mikey's approximately 10, Poe's 16. Here they are on one of their favorite places in the whole wide world house, their Music/Movie Room Couch Blanket.

So, Poe celebrates three days in October:

The 21st is the day he came to live with us when eight weeks old, National Black Cat Day on the 27th, and National Cat Day on the 29th.

And his actual birthday is in August. It’s an entitled time of year for him.

Mikey’s birth date - indeed, even his exact birth year - are unknown. But it’s reasonably estimated to have been 2008. He celebrates his arrival here in March.

It's always "fun" when a cast member has to drop out, for whatever reason, a few days before an opening.

BK and I worked together for the first time in a similar situation.

We were doing a 3 day staged reading of my play, HAIL ON THE CHIEF!, at the Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood.  BK was in the cast.

It's been over 10 years, but as I recall, about a week before the first rehearsal, the director I'd set (a relatively young man) suddenly dropped dead from a heart attack.  Naturally, his wife, who was in the cast, also dropped out.

The theater had been booked and paid for.  The rest of the cast had been set.  I got on the phone and arranged for Gene Castle to come in an direct the reading.  We also re-cast the wife's part.

Bottom line: We pulled it off.

Later, we did an audio production of the play (with a different cast), which is downloadable via audible.com, Amazon and iTunes.

Gasoline was only $2.59 per gallon - so even though I only needed a quarter of a tank, I filled up.

$2.75 for me yesterday. Costco’s and BJ’s price. It’s higher everywhere else, considerably so in many places near the highways. And in NY state, especially en route to the city, forget it.

I'm thinking of joining AMC Stubs A-List (you can see up to three movies a week for $19.95 a month).  Anyone belong?

Is that all??  It's $3.29 at Costco.  Washington state is always more expensive than most of the country. :-\
