After last night's quite successful performance of The Rocky Horror Show, one of the other volunteers, an older woman, mentioned that her ride had left! Her friend evidently forgot to give her a ride home and didn't have a cell phone. She was also in some pain and wasn't really able to help usher. Fortunately, we had enough ushers.

I offered to drive her home (she lived less than a mile away), but it took her a long time to get into my car because of the pain she was having. She couldn't lift her right leg to be able to get into my passenger seat! It took almost 10 minutes of her trying different ways to get into my car, and she tried from both sides, but eventually was successful!

When I go to her house (once out of the car, she could stand and walk slowly, but with much less pain than trying lift her leg...no pun intended

), we just stood outside her house and chatted for about 15 minutes or so.

I then came home and fed my cat, then fed myself, then came up to my bedroom and now I'm going to sleep. Today, I'll be working from 9:00 am, until 5:00 pm, the I'll go yo my sister's for our weekly family dinner, then hopefully come home and take a nap before the midnight show!

When I lived in my Calabasas condo complex (for 22 years), there were a few neighbors who caused issues.

There was even a murder in the building next to mine, but I apparently slept through it.

Great idea, of course, but it’s oddly selective. Obviously you can only cover so much in one article, but there’s no balance or any real focus. There were places great and small that were a part of the fabric, and I’d love to find the comprehensive site or book or film that does it all justice.
