Well, today is going to be a day. At noon, I have a union meeting, but I'll probably have to leave early from that to go to my rehearsal at 1:30. I think the meeting will go longer than that, but it's okay that I have to leave. At least I can be there at the beginning.

Rehearsal was originally scheduled to go only until 4:00, but they asked the cast if they could add rehearsals, and people (including me) said that 4:30 to 7:00 would work, so this week and next we'll also rehearse from 1:30 to 7:00 with a half hour break. We open in less that three weeks!

I remember, when I was a child, my mother sitting at the dining room table paying bills, weeping and fretting over not having enough money in the bank to cover them all. I still don't know how my parents managed a household with two, then three, children on my dad's construction worker salary.

This morning, just as I threw a glass full of water into the bathtub to rinse it out, Annabelle decided she wanted to jump into the tub and roll about. It's something that gives her great pleasure.

She ended up getting the entire glass of water on the side of her head, and that ended her bathtub excursion. With my luck, I'll be charged with assault.

Kind of like several Portland schools, named for a good family called Lynch that donated money for them, that were suddenly politically incorrect. Turns out the word Lynch comes from a judge Lynch and the name upset people. You can imagine how all the people in the world name Lynch feel about this.
