Aaron, our director, said that Lynn’s son was there, but I didn’t see him.  Anyway, her son or someone told her they were going to drive her home, but actually were going to drive her straight to the hospital.

Eventually, we continued the show.  The first time there has ever been a three-act version of YES VIRGINIA.

That's good!  Hopefully, she'll be fine!

Boy, you'll do anything to have a show-stopper!  Hope your friend is well.

I told the cast that she had written some bad reviews of my performances in the past, but this is ridiculous!

George, this theater does not give exit interviews, but I am just going to take the Artistic Director (a long-time friend) out to lunch and will create my own exit interview.

Good.  I know some groups do a post mortem.  Maybe they should start doing that.

That sounds like a good idea, but the bottom line is that they really don’t care to know what the actors think.

I am really disappointed that this show isn’t selling better.

This really sweet lady came up to me last night, and she just went on and on about my performance.  She actually started to cry, she was so moved.  Turns out, she is the grandmother of our little Virginia, so I was really flattered.

Remembering last year when our daughters' school decided not to perform an INSTRUMENTAL ONLY version of "Baby It's Cold Outside", a knee-jerk CYA reaction to news about Harvey Weinstein's sordid behaviors. I posted to Facebook about the absurdity of this, and suddenly everyone was chiming in, a runaway train of ill-informed women taking issue with the song.   "Rapey" came up, courtesy of a gal in Seattle.

BK cited tried to explain what the song is really about, to which she retorted he was "mansplaining".  Another invented, derisive word.

Glad this wonderful song is going to be performed.

I think the time is right to put out a new version with the parts reversed.

It's been done that way before.

Wasn't the version on BK's A Hollywood Christmas sung by Karen Morrow and Charles Nelson Reilly reversed?

Political correctness to the extreme, aka stupidity.  That's unfortunate.  :(

Yes, Charles Nelson Reilly was "The Mouse" and Karen Morrow was "The Wolf" - it's pretty funny.  It was done that way in Neptune's Daughter - first with Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalban doing it the traditional way, and then later with Betty Garrett and Red Skelton with the roles reversed.  It works whichever way you do it.

I have never heard the album.

It's available from Amazon for as little as $4.00 (plus shipping and tax).  It's a great CD!
