I used to love Christmas, decorating, baking, shopping, etc. I mailed close to 150 cards every year. Now we don't do any of that except buy something for our sons whom we haven't spent Christmas with in years. It has certainly taken much of the fun out of the holiday for me.

I managed to sleep and read both on the plane. I finished ETA Hoffmann’s original Nutcracker story and am zipping through Dumas’ version, which I like better.

This morning, I headed over to the pre-school/day care of my two nephews and played my accordion and sang songs with their school. I do it once a year, I think it fulfills some of my brothers volunteer time. It's fun and this year, the kids attention span was longer. It was a lot of fun

Other than that, I have a vocal coaching for a 3rd grader later in the day, and a Sweeney Todd rehearsal this eve. I think I'm also putting a brisket in the over with some carrots and potatoes.

Just murdered: one year-old puppy Ron, who was terrified being in the ACC. They decided he was too problematic to be adopted and killed him. He was so pretty.
