I invited my cleaning guy, Brian, to join Richard and I at A Carol Christmas, but Brian couldn't get that day off work. For Christmas I gave him the CD. Even though it was wrapped it was pretty obvious it was a CD. "The CD from the show!" he guessed correctly. He's VERY excited.

I had some errands to run today and traffic was much heavier than usual.

I've noticed that many businesses are taking Christmas Eve day off, in addition to Christmas Day, this year.

Feel better soon, DR Elmore. I got sick right after we got back from Disneyland last month. Like a couple days later.

The only happy ones are the new manager and her bestie who she hired to replace me
Neither of whom have any experience with the job

Oh, my goodness!  Who owns this company?  Why would they let that happen??

I suspect that Bossman thinks the job is a piece of cake and has little knowledge or respect for it.

I saw Mary Poppins Returns the other day.  I enjoyed it but not nearly as much as the original.  The Washington Post reviewer gave it 1 1/2 stars out of 4, which I think is a little harsh.

Listening to an upcoming release - sounds pretty great to me.  And I think we found a little bonus track.

Nice!  Bonus tracks are cool.

After the show, I'm going to my friend pug's house.  Every year she has a winter solstice celebration and invites anyone to come over, so I will.  The party WILL still be going on after my show ends.  There are always people who stay overnight and continue in the morning. ;) Not I, though.

Be back later...much later!

My head hurts, my eyeballs hurt, my teeth ache, and I suspect this will be worse before it starts clearing up.  Last year I came down on Dec. 26, so I hope this is on its way out of my system by Dec. 25.

Vibes this cold has a very fast turnaround!

Ditto!

The package was delivered.  I hope the combination caramel & cheese popcorn inside the tin is still fresh.

This is 2 year-old Cali, railroaded by the ACC! He was brought into the Manhattan ACC only three days ago - only three damned days ago! - and the "staff" have marked him for death two days later: one lousy photo, no video, and because he's terrified, they've charged him with their usual excuse to murder a healthy dog: behavioral concerns.

The poor dog is terrified; he's lost his home, security, and possibly his life today. They must really want him dead.

I've always felt that the people who work in these "shelters" who put healthy animals down are sick bastards.  Definitely something wrong with them.

The Austin paper today gave MARY POPPINS RETURNS a "D-" review.

I'd heard it was quite good.

Anybody see it yet?

I don't know - do you read this site???

Yes, but I don't memorize it.

I think that's the review that was reprinted in the Austin paper.
