My brother and his wife, two of his daughters and their beaus, and husband wife's parents were at my Moms yesterday . They were down from Massachusetts. So I went over there right from work, Vixdad joined us when he got out of work and we hung out until after 10

I can watch Ray Milland in anything, good or bad. I started off with an unusual take on him because my introduction to him was not in any classic film, but in the Roger Corman PREMATURE BURIAL. That was also the first of the Corman series of films I saw, and my 11-year-old self was thrilled with it. I soon caught up with the others, but Milland’s presence in that one made it special for me. My second film with him was PANIC IN YEAR ZERO which he directed. DIAL ‘M’ was probably my next, on black and white TV, and it’s been a love affair ever since. In looking over his filmography, I see that I could easily enjoy a Milland marathon. Never saw LISBON, so I look forward to that one as well.

It was strange taking a walk after dinner at the hotel inside the airport. Keith wanted some ice cream. When we finally found a flower shop that sold ice cream bars it dawned on us that we did not have any Canadian money and it was too small of a purchase to charge

Fortunately a credit card at Starbucks was fine. I got a children's size hot chocolate to swallow my vitamins with. It was good. Keith had his usual latte.

Thursday morning greetings! We’re home after Richard’s first cataract surgery. It went fine and we even stopped for breakfast at First Watch on the way home. My alarm went off at 3:45am, his at 4:15. Any bets on who will be asleep first?

As always I checked if I had a barf bag, good thing too as I didn't. I have it now. It is an odd little bag and had a tear strip to open it. Imagine about to throw up and trying to get the darn thing open. I have done so and am ready for action if needed. Fingers crossed for a smooth flight.

Thanks Laura. I had a little egg salad sandwich which was good except it had scallions or something in it that I should avoid when flying. I am already feeling yucky and we are still waiting to take off. I should be ok though.
