Listening to this rather wonderful pianist named Maryla Jonas - prior to yesterday I'd never heard the name. She was a brilliant pianist with a somewhat tragic life that ended when she was in her 40s. Her specialty was Chopin - she made several albums for Columbia from the mid-1940s to the early 1950s - Sony put them on four CDs in a nice box. Now, solo classical music is not so much my thing, but this is just wonderful stuff. What's really astonishing is how many of the mazurkas and nocturnes are tunes that you know instantly, but the ones that are new to me are fantastic. That darn Chopin was something else.

Macau was interest but difficult for me since I did not feel well after the ferry ride. The tour we took was not the best spending more time in the "Vegas" area and shops th and the old Portuguese town. We really did not need to tour the Venetian Hotel. A Chinese one would have been more interesti g to us.

In the old town area I did have a yummy egg custard DR John had me get in Lisbon. 😊😊😊

It turns out that it started about 10 minutes late, but then a repeat of Modern Family after that was joined in progress, so the whole episode was shown. It's just starting again now and it did start on time at 8:00.
