If I do make it at home, as I did a Christmas Eve, I often like to marinate it in the fridge for 24 hours or so, usually rubbing the meat with a mixture of garlic,black pepper, and kosher salt and red wine

I used to broil them in the oven, which is the way my Mom always made it, but now I cook them in butter in a heavy skillet on the stove

Love all kinds of steak. Grilled, broiled, pan fried, whatever’s appropriate for a particular cut. Medium rare, usually, but sometimes medium can be really good.

There certainly have been a few that were notably among the best I’ve had, but I am hard put now to recall exactly which ones they were.
