We just had a new security system installed in our house.

Not RING.

But, if you approach my front door, whether you ring the bell or not, I can see/talk to you.

That’s cool.

TOD

Those mentioned above and

SOB
Mame
Rehearsal for Murder which was a TV movie

I totally forgot about (meaning, I didn't look him up to remind myself that he was in) Mame and SOB!  I've never seen or heard of Rehearsal for Murder.

Raining cats and dogs in L.A.
L.A. Unified School district is on strike.   It should be an interesting week.

I wish I could have seen Robert Preston perform live.  He, and Danny Kaye.
Have a great day HHWers.

I would highly recommend THE DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS.  On my local Channel Six - they had two movies a day....Morning Theatre and Frances Farmer Presents.

The movies that were too long or too racy to show on those programs were shown on Saturday night at 11:30 on The Best of Hollywood (in color).....that's where I first saw DARK.....

Probably the first time I saw Robert Preston.....Dorothy McGuire, Angela Lansbury, Lee Kinsolving, Shirley Knight, and especially Eve Arden were very memorable.....

And there is this:
You know the drill. The more crazy things get, the more flexible you have to become -- otherwise you'll snap. And no one wants that.

Too late, JRand.

Ended ip at a Cuban-Puerto Rican place for dinner. Had a perfect beef empanada (and I’m sure it was prefab), followed by a garlicky mofongo with roadt pork. Too much food. And on the TV? Salsa dancing.

TCB, when you said you bought the watch for $900 off I was thinking it must be a very expensive watch indeed. But $145 isn't expensive! It's a handsome watch, though I hope you do get your Rollex one day.

I hope we are suffering from allergies and will feel back to our normal crappy selves during this trip. Since yesterday I have coughed my throat raw, not stopped dripping and alternate between stuffed or blowing.  I am am concerned about flying with my already stuffed ears  ::)

I guess there is a DVD available.

Thanks, TCB! I, too, would like to see the film. But, more importantly, I'm pleased to learn about the Vermont Movie Store--in Woodland Hills, no less. Long ago, when Netflix was still young, some people would complain that it didn't carry enough new releases. I didn't care about the new releases--I wanted the old films. They had lots of them then, but these days when I do a search they don't appear. I'll check out the Vermont Movie Store. I take it these are purchases, not rentals, so I'll look for another streaming site for older films.

Feel-better vibes to Jane!

Can you take cough drops on a plane these days? Maybe only once you're been through security.

Yes, it's been raining all day. I gave up my usual Mexican food lunch and little walk. I've had lots to do inside, though.
