I am  home from City Center, where Joshie and I put to bed the vocal score for I Married an Angel.

Little Thatch was happy to see me.  Annabelle refused to leave her bathroom washtub to greet me.

She's got a hot date tonight, or what?

Today, Thatch and I reached another plateau:  he likes to sleep next to me, and if I lie down for a nap during the day,  he will join me.  He doesn't like getting closer than that.  He also dislikes being held, so to my surprise, when I came in and lay down on the bed, he jumped up to join me, then climbed onto my chest, settled there and tried to chew the button off my shirt.

Annabelle's too young to date, and her crushes are all afraid of me.

Mine do that climbing onto the chest thing all too rarely, but I've always loved it when they do.

I mean, all but the button chewing.

I just fed the cats, and as soon as he finished eating, Thatch threw up all over the mats holding their dishes and the floor.  What a mess!  I hope he's not sick.

We had a big cat that liked to sleep on my chest.  I would wake up gasping for air.

Hopefully not.  At least it wasn't on your bed or carpeting.  That is truly a mess.

Craig's cat has always been rather healthy.  She has one issue though, throwing up her food.  She seems to be sensitive to many foods.

Oy!  Po' Thatch!

He's probably fine. "These things happen."

Yes, both my cats were prone to the upchucking on a quasi-regular basis with no other ill effects. ::)

I know DR JANE - Lacey is tiny....10 weeks old.  I brightened up the photo so she wouldn't be so dark against my black sweatshirt.

I see that Great Performances is broadcasting the opera version of DOUBT....I watched the preview.....I'm not sure I can take it....the lady playing the lead is very scary looking....

Thank you DR CHAS SMITH - it sort of sounds like an opera, doesn't it......or an expletive......

Well, I get to leave work now and go to lunch, but not go back to work!  I'll then go home for a while before the read-through tonight.

Be back later.

Judging the pinto beans was strange. Who in their right mind thinks of complementing barbecue with minestrone? Or chili?
