Back from a good dinner and seeing opening night of Tuesdays with Morrie in Sierra Madre. Aside from the rather loud and blustery artistic director boring everyone for ten full minutes prior to the show, and then feeling it necessary to do it again after the show at the reception in the lobby, it was a nice evening. Larry Eisenberg, the co-artistic director of the Group Rep, did a great job as Morrie. I don't think the play itself quite works, but it was affecting certainly if paced a little bit too slowly.
